No phone for you! Shop says mums can't buy phones
This sounds like the worst kind of discrimination - a phone shop won't sell full time mums phones because they can't provide a work phone number - see http://www.news.com.au/technology/story/0,28348,24812183-5014239,00.html

I bet it is probably because they think no work number, then how does she pay for the phone and any ongoing costs. Unfortunately I think lots of this probably goes on, but most women don't take a stand and say this is not acceptable.
