what is best suburb in geelong area that is by the water for young family?
Geelong, VIC 3220 is located within the Greater Geelong local government area, part of the Barwon Region in Victoria.
I'm looking at moving my family down to the geelong area. Ideally I'd need a house under $500k, 3-4 bedrooms double garage etc within walking distance to the beach.
Also need it to be in a family friendly and safe suburb where I don't need to worry about break ins and thefts etc.
Ideally I'd be looking along the strip from geelong city-Drysdale-port Arlington but am open to suggestions!!

Hi Nickh15, You'll probably find availability in that price range in Curlewis or Drysdale. There wont be anything in Geelong that offers that sort of proximity to the bay for that price, but further out (Curlewis way) there are estate developments that are affordable and safe. You get the benefit of a bit more of a slow paced coastal town.
