As someone who used to live there, I don't think there is a band/orchestra. Nonetheless, there is the Mount Players theatre at nearby Macedon. I'm sure the Gisborne Bulldogs football, basketball and cricket club are always looking for players. There are also tennis and croquet courts as well as a nice longish walking track
