Gosnells, WA 6110

I live at Euro Close and we love it here. Gosnells may had some reputation back then but it is only in certain areas but it is changing now and I am glad that it is not bad at all, my neighbours are good people, safe and quite place. It is just like any other suburbs good streets and some dubious ones. The Council has plans to have a major facelift to Gosnells to make it a more attractive place to live.
I am Asian and I love the fact that there are so many oriental food and groceries available near Gosnells. Thornlie square is 5 minutes drive and another minute to Spencer Village where you will find the food court serves a huge variety of Singaporean & Malaysian food. It just feels like being at home away from home. Canning Vale is very close and we do our weekly marketing at Market City.
Prices in Gosnells are still very affordable, especially for a suburb that is still close to the Perth CBD. Local trains and buses provide easy access to shops, markets, recreational parks and complexes, foothills and various other amenities. My reason to purchase a property in Gosnells is the transport, good schooling (Southern River College), medical facilities, cafes and restaurants and easy access to Albany Highway, Tonkin Highway and Roe Highway. The airport is only 20 minutes away.
I bought my 5 bedroom property for mid $400’s in 2012, 800m.sq block with a big swimming pool. Significant growth is apparent around Gosnells, Southern River and Huntingdale. The new housings are considerably costly. Perth house rents set to soar and I would suggest buy now in Gosnells while it is reasonably priced. Let’s make it a better place.

I have read about crimes and other negative comments about Gosnells but have lived here for over 3 years and didn't feel unsafe. There is a major facelift going on for Gosnells and I can predict this suburb will rise up and attract more buyers/investors.

Great suburb! I walk the dogs every night and its just so quiet and peaceful.

Theres an abundance of Public Transport and you get great views of the hills

I have been living in Gosnells from past 6 years and I absolutely love it. Not too far from city, airport and great public transport, what more you can ask for. Mix of cultures. I have a young family and feel quite safe as everyone in my street knows each other. No doubt there are good and bad areas everywhere and Gosnells is no different. Crime is everywhere even in the most affluent and safe suburbs. Overall, this is the suburb to watch for in coming years..

My wife and I purchased our property in 2012, our 4 bedroom home sits on a 960sqm block which allows us the space to let our kids experience having a large backyard. We bought for just under 400k and have seen an increase in our properties value over the past 2 years. Shops are close by (Walking distance) and the area we live in is relatively quiet. Friendly neighbors with a mixture of cultures, the only improvement which needs to be made is more cafe's etc, I hope the council focus on more eateries/cafes to be scattered around albany hwy/fremantle rd junction. I believe this will encourage the community to get out more and provide a location for visitors to enjoy.

Amazing place to live, been here for 3 years. All my neighbours are friendly and down to earth it's such a great place!

Have lived in Gosnells for 2 years. Never had a problem and have always enjoyed living in the area.

Affordable and great value for money!

We have lived in Gosnells since 2007 and I was extremely suprised how quiet and convenient Gosnells is. We have everything at our doorstep, friendly neighbours, convenience of the new Tonkin Highway extension only minutes away and a choice of several big-chain shopping centres only 5 minutes in each direction. Get all of this for on-average only approx. $400k.
We have children out in the streets, riding their pushbikes, walking & playing together, the way a real neighbourhood SHOULD be, which tells you exactly how safe the area is, its GREAT!
This is exactly how a real neighbourhood should be!
It is an older, established suburb with alot of long-term residents which is great. Immaculate gardens and homes in most streets by obviously house-proud owners.
We are VERY glad we chose Gosnells in 2007, its been a very happy 4 years for us, so it deserves my review and opinion. You simply wont find a better established suburb for the price.

I have lived in the City of Gosnells for 16 years now and I would be very reluctant to leave. The rates are reasonable and the local council does a lot for the community. There is an excellent library and the village is well equiped with pretty much everything you could ask for close by. There is a small problem with crime depending on where you live but most of it is opportunistic and if you are careful you should be fine. A dog helps too! Our neighbours are friendly but unobtrusive and I feel safe in the knowledge that we all look out for each other. Public transport is great and usually within walking distance. The trains are good (but maybe not so much late at night) and it is quite easy to get to major highways like the Tonkin and Roe. I love all the parks and recreation areas that are well looked after and there are even neighbourhood walking tours. It is also a short distance drive to some fantastic bushland areas like Ellis Brook and the river reserve provides excellent walking trails. There is a lot of new development going on but it still retains its older suburb appeal. Best of all you get a heck of a lot of property for your money if buying established. I grew up north of the river but would never go back now. Gosnells is so green and charming compared to many of the northern suburbs, without the exorbitant price tag
