I found that travelling anywhere from here took at least 30 - 40 minutes. Straight down the freeway to the city, across town to Bayside suburbs or across to the other side Dandenongs or Cranbourne or Mornington Peninsula. This was one of the surprises of living here how central it was to get somewhere.
The street itself was noisy especially Fri, Sat nights with hoons racing up and down the street or flying past our front gate. Late night parties were also heard on these nights into the early hours with loud booming music.
Do not miss this place at all, lived here for 5 years, I did however enjoy walking around the new estates as most of them had done their gardens beautifully and it is a credit to the area. We moved from Cheltenham to live here and it really was a culture shock. Not many nationalities live here, mostly Australian and my daughter felt out of place as she is dark skinned and so is her boyfriend.
The local primary school walking distance for us 5 minutes refused to take my daughter and said they were full! So I had to drive her to the nearest primary 5 minutes by car Skye Primary School and I was not happy. Probably a good thing becuase they were all pretty stuck up anyway and thought there school was better than anyone elses when really they are all just mortgaged to the eyeballs so stick that.

centre of the universe, stunning parks and walking tracks, surrounded by beautifull native bushland, walking distance to shopping, outstanding primary schools and child care, very quiet !!!!
