"Love this Place!"

I am a Property Manager for Northern Tasmania and I have called Grindelwald my home for the past 10 years. We chose Grindelwald for it's idyllic setting - it's extremely quiet and the neighbourhood really is picture perfect. As a professional couple, we enjoyed being 15 minutes out of town, so on the weekends we felt like we were away from the riff raff. Over the years our family has grown and we really value Grindelwald for how family friendly it is. It's such a safe suburb, with a great community of people always looking out for each other. The lake is a great place for a daily walk to feed the ducks and the swiss architecture, rolling lawns and white fences really add to the charm of the suburb. Only 5 minutes down the hill is Legana - the shopping hub makes grocery shopping a breeze, and with plans to develop a primary school in the area, this is going to be a welcome addition. If you are looking for quiet, family living - this is the place to be. (You may even end up with some wallaby or bandicoot friends, they love to hang around!)

"Feel good Grindelwald"

Grindelwald is a beautiful little suburb situated approximately 15 minutes from the city of Launceston.
It is a very private and safe community and is a short 5 minute drive from near by shops and schools!
You wont regret visiting or even living in this beautiful suburb.

"Glorious Grindlewald"

Grindelwald is a charming suburb just 15 minutes from the city of Launceston but feels like a whole world away. The Swiss Village styling transports you instantly and makes you feel like staying forever. Housing in this suburb is nothing short of stunning keeping the Swiss feel throughout in even the newest of developments. Once you live here, you won't want to live anywhere else!

"West Tamar Beauty"

Grindelwald is a beautiful suburb sitting amongst an array of vineyards and character homes. With its own Swiss Village, Resort and Golf Course, Grindelwald is perfect for people from all walks of life. Situated on a hill, Grindelwald sports amazing views all around and is still within 20 minutes of the city, giving the feeling of a less suburban location but still in reach of all the facilities.

"A slice of heaven"

We moved from the mainland in April 2016 and just by chance found Grindelwald, for us we fell in love with our house, with a beautiful view of Lake Louise and the Chapel. Lots of established trees, wildlife, big established blocks that are private, quiet and safe but still has a good feeling of community. Watch weddings ar the chapel at the weekend, walk around the lake picking Blackberries and feeding ducks. Lovely homes in traditional Swiss style, friendly locals...really is a skice of heaven.

"Escape to the country near the city"

We travelled Australia looking for a new home for our family and fell in love with Tasmania, the West Tamar and this suburb - especially Alpine Crescent. Grindelwald sits on a plateau overlooking the Tamar above world class wineries. The southern suburb below -Legana - is one of the fastest growing in Tasmania and has all the facilities. Most properties are acreages with character homes and expansive green lawns. The suburb has beautiful lakes, lots of open spaces, bush, wildlife, resort golf course, restaurant and some of the best views (sunrises & sunsets) you'll see anywhere. With it's own microclimate we're often well above the morning fogs in winter. An increasing number of young families are moving into the area as the original owners downsize for retirement. Best of all it's so well placed to explore the north-west villages with fantastic beaches and rolling green hills. Unbelievably affordable compared to the mainland!

"Beautiful vistas a short drive from the city"

Grindelwald is quite simply a wonderful place to live. Coming from mainland Australia we deliberately sought a quiet, beautiful suburb along the West Tamar that would suit our family of four. Grindelwald ticks all our boxes...it is extremely safe , has acreage blocks with room for animals, has a plethora of native wildlife and is close enough to Launceston to be a short drive to good schools and medical facilities.
The suburb lies on top of a hill and has breathtaking views along the Tamar Valley and also lies above the fog line. In Winter, the houses are bathed in morning sun and the views down to the rolling fog are just incredible. Equally amazing are the visible sunsets and sunrises, the sky seems to put on a spectacular show.
Neighbours are friendly and the presence of the Tamar Valley Resort provides a point of community and local interest.
Overall, the suburb is exceptionally beautiful with established trees, well kept gardens and interesting housing. The gardens display the colours of the four seasons beautifully and I have often been quite literally gob smacked by the scenery on local drives.

"Grindelwald - Located along the West Tamar Wine Route"

Grindelwald- located along the West Tamar wine route, close to shops, schools and doctors. Swiss style home in the older part of this estate (known as the Swiss Village). More modern properties in the newer areas of this lovely estate. Also a large very popular retirement village that has its own pool and recreation facilities. Review prepared by Joe Poupe
