"Bellion Drive - best sea views and quiet road"

Bellion Drive is so close to the beach! It also feels as though you are out in the countryside, but you are close to all the major roads, public transport and the shops. Did I mention how close it is to the beach?

Great for

  • Beach access
  • Hear the crickets at night / sea views
  • Very quiet considerate residents

  • Really....none!

hi marigold we are a young professional family looking for land to build in hammy hill. Any thoughts on specific areas within the suburb?
thanks :)

Everyone will have their own opinion so I will avoid any negative comments! In my own experience West of Carrington Street at the North end of Hamilton Hill. You are closer to Fremantle and the beaches.

"Best value for money in the Perth metropolitan area"

Hamilton Hill is one of Perth's best kept real estate secrets. It's a large suburb with the streets west of Carrington and those in the Manning Park area being most desirable. Fremantle and the beach are walking distance from the western end of the suburb, and the grocery prices and choice are simply outstanding. We moved from Wembley to Hamilton Hill in 2005 and our grocery bill halved!

There is a lot of urban renewal occurring with many professional couples moving into the area. The suburb is also being touted as the new 'South Fremantle' with many creative people moving in due to cheaper house prices. New home builds and renovations of existing houses are frequent so the housing stock is improving dramatically. This coupled with the urban renewal of state housing stock is having significant bearing on the quality of life in Hamilton Hill. Council tree planting schemes are increasing the leafy green feel, and protected bush areas bring the most beautiful birds into suburban gardens. This place is truly a suburb on the move and house prices represent excellent value for money. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Great for

  • Location and proximity to Fremantle
  • Value for money housing stock
  • Convenience

Not great for

  • There are a few bugs and rodents to deal with
  • You need to know where to buy - it's a big suburb
  • There can be a bit of traffic near arterial roads

"Any place can be you home."

I moved from Kwinana to live in Hamilton Hill, i wasnt too happy with the move although once we settled in we soon noticed out street CLAYGATE road was incredibly quiet surrounded my hills.
2 min walk to the lovely wetlands, walking around the lake approx 4-5km, you would see Black swans, turtles, & families having picnics.
There is a FROSH festival there yearly, lots of things to do stalls, rides, bands, fireworks & etc.
If ever bored on the weekend, you can go for a bush walk behind the homestead and it take you out to the beach on the walk through you will encounter, blue tongues, snakes, & etc.
The beach is quiet, secluded, and the water is crystal clear and lovely refreshing swim after the long walk.
Shops are just up the road you have the Phoenix shopping centre, have to add Fremantle is only a short drive.

We did find out there are 2 sides to Hamilton Hill, and we apparently stayed in the quiet/safer side, it was enjoyable and believe you can make any place you home.

Hi, I'm looking to move to Hamilton Hill, currently in a house share in East Freo; but originally from England so don't really know the area very well... you have said there are two sides to HH, one obviously a bit quieter and safer than the other, where do you think the divide falls? I'm looking at a property on Grandpre Crescent, which side would you say this comes under? Any other comments or info would be really useful and much appreciated! :) x

missmegs

Ive been told that Grandpre is pretty average. Currently house hunting myself

"This suburb has the lot!!"

Hamilton Hill is a big suburb that stretches from Stock Rd to Hampton Rd to the beach. This suburb was rated in the top ten for growth in Australia in 2007 before the world crash. But it still is a very promising suburb for growth with what is happening at south beach and coogee. This suburb is bound to very popular for decades ahead. And it spells GOOD VALUE.
If you would like to know more about Hamilton Hill give me a call. I live and work in this suburb.
