Is it easy for single mums to make friends there ?

Or do people more like to say hello in the streets or shops but no one really makes friends with each other. Just wondering as the place I live now in Tasmania is like that they say hello in shops but that's we are all very isolated here

@ChloeC@ you would have better luck joining on of the many mum groups. These are usually set up when kids are born at the hospital so it can be hard to get into one when you move. However I had a look on meetup.com and there were some open groups for single parents and mums, none specific to your suburb, however. www.meetup.com/singleparentsoutandabout/
