"Great place to bring up your kids"
we have lived in heathcote junction for 16 years and found it to be a great place to bring our kids up working in a nearby larger town i see the difference in our kids every day but now that our kids are a bit older it is time for us to move on and i would recomend this town ahead of wallan and kilmore every day it is still a small country town and should never change ps if you are ever passing call in to the crown hotel newstead for a drink

- No gas connection and the council could do a lot more with the roads, guttering and pathways.

"Small village with everything going for it"
Heathcote Junction/Wandong are twin towns and are approximately 50km from Melbourne. Everything you need is close by. We have the pub, the IGA, newsagent, doctors, service station and primary school. Private and state secondary colleges are nearby in Wallan and Kilmore. Major supermarkets and restaurants are also in nearby towns. We also have the railway station and VLine runs to Melbourne and Seymour
