Great place for holidays, beautiful sandy beaches, easy access for the boat. Everyone is really friendly, when you go for a walk of a morning everyone say's hello, people talk to you when they are in their gardens, it seems really friendly. Lots of mums, dads and kids riding bikes around the streets. Some parts can be a bit "desparate housewifes" stuff with kept wives with their Merc's and pampered lives, but great spot for a holiday house, close to Ettalong and Terrigal .

Helmsman Boulevard, St Huberts Island would have to be one of the best places in the Country to
raise a family. Lived there for 23 years and only moved because 'empty nesters' wanted to downsize. So much for kids to do through the years, never looking for something to entertain them. It was all at backdoor - watching and playing with soldier crabs on the beach as toddlers, to fishing for blue swimmers and flathead as they grew. Watersport was an exhilerating part of their lives - canoeing, rowboat, motorboat, jetski, sailing - swimming. Fabulous family activities that bonded family together. Kids' friends loved coming and staying from early years to late 20's. They never wanted to go home as it was so relaxing with so much to do. It's such a safe and trusting area to live. No worries about going for walks or riding bikes. Public, Catholic and Private school buses leave from Helmsman. It has a great community spirit with an annual Island Barbecue. People are very friendly yet don't live in each others' houses. Help is always on hand. The main social activitiey would be the friendly barbecue. Oh, and the sunsets were magnificent...Loved the place and it was very hard to leave...!
