"High St, Northcote - Unbeatable"
High St Northcote is the new place to be, destined for many years to be the next big thing, finally it's happening. Starting down on the corner of High St and Westgarth St, you have a great mix and variety of everything, including retail, business, hospitality and how can you possibly go past the historic Westgarth Cincemas? So much better than being in Hoyts or Village. You then go up the hill to reach Ruckers Hill, which is arguably the best vantage point and breathtaking views of the Melbourne CBD, views that will never be lost due to the unusual design of the elevated road up the hill with homes on the west side being built down quite low. On top of the hill is a new boutique apartment development and those lucky enough to have apartments facing High St will be the envy of everyone with the city views and amazing summer sunsets. From Clarke St to Seperation St is even more action. An abundance of cafe's, restaurants, bars, retail outlets and specialty stores, everything and anything you want to eat or see, with a great strip shopping local feel. People are friendly and now with the new redevelopment of this strip starting next year, the footpaths will be even wider and greener. What a place to be, I love it.
