Anyone moved to Hobart from QLD - How have you coped with the weather?!
Hobart, TAS 7000 is located within the Hobart local government area, part of the Greater Hobart Region in Tasmania.
Hi there, Im thinking of moving to Hobart - it appeals for its beauty, ease of getting around, cooler climate for activities bush walks, cycling etc BUT, coming from QLD I am not sure I could cope with lots of grey sky days and not being able to take a dip in the ocean! - Am I kidding myself or is the weather really not that unbearable? LOL

We moved from Gladstone in Qld to Hobart in April this year - yes its freezing compared to Qld but we were also so attracted to the scenery and slower pace of life considering its a capital city. We just rug up with our down jackets when going out and have our heat pump (what the locals here call a split system) on at home and we are comfortable enough. As for grey skies, it's actually been pretty clear and sunny (though cold) through nter here - it isn't grey for more than a few days in a row.
