I've never had a bad feed at Room for a Pony in Nth Hobart, they serve brunch until 3pm so you can have a decent sleep in on the weekend and go for a late breakfast!
Yellow Bernard in Collins St serves up great coffee and macaroons.

When I visited Hobart I had a great breakfast at:
-Small Fry on Bathurst St
- Smolt Kitchen on Hill St
- Pilgrim on Argyle St (get the cocoa waffles!).

You also must check out Queens Pastry on Harrington St, they have the best freshly baked croissants, inventive doughnut flavours and cruffins in town.
