Reviews of Irrubel Road, Newport
"No place like home.."
Little known fact, I lived in Irrubel Road for the first 14 years of my life.. so I may be slightly biased...But I love love love Irrubel! As a local real estate agent, and an Irrubel resident myself, I'd like to consider myself as a bit of an Irrubel Road expert.. but enough about me.
The gateway to Pittwater's biggets Marinas, Irrubel Road is the street directly following on to Prince Alfred Parade, home to both the Royal Motor Yacht Club and Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club.
Irrubel Road itself is slightly hilly, though mostly made up of relatively level blocks. The perfect street for young families, it is only about a 5-10 minute walk into the Newport village, and to the beach (maybe a little longer for the kids!). The closest bus is only a street away, a quick walk down King Street takes you right onto the Gladstone Street bus stop, connecting you straight to the city via the L90 service. Another 5 minutes down the road and you're at the Newport Arms Hotel, Newport's favourite family destination.
There are just under a dozen blocks right at the end of Irrubel Road lucky enough to be fronting Crystal Bay, a darling little enclave where the kids will love feeding the local ducks. These blocks don't change hands often (can you blame them?).. but when they do, they achieve the big bucks, great for owners in the street!
