Reviews of John Whiteway Drive, Gosford

"Great Street with close access to all parts of Gosford."

Living on this street means you are so close to everything. You can pretty much walk everywhere. The only downside is it is on top of a hill making it hard to walk up. You have elevated views over Gosford making the view very picturess. It is also very Quite you don't hear the traffic from Henry Parry Drive

"ALL THE ESSENTIALS ARE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY"

Located on the Eastern side of the street, my apartment complex has very good access to the station which is really handy to get everywhere. You can drive or walk to the station.

The bush and water viewsare what make this street so special. On weekends you see many people enjoying the picnic areas, walking tracks and sailing on Brisbane Waters. It's really easy to go for off road bike riding or for a bush walk in the Rumbalara Reserve. The magnificent tree-covered slopes of the 53 hectare reserve are characteristic of the natural scenery encompassing the area.

It's a really friendly community with regular fireworks and community events. Because the area is very green and very close to the bush, Rainbow Lorikeets, Kookaburras, Cockatoos, King parrots or other colourful birdlife visit my home virtually on a daily basis. It's so pleasant when you can wake up to the sounds of nature...

Within close proximity there are shopping facilities for all the essentials - hairdressers, auto mechanic, small supermarket, banks, deli, butcher, newsagent, bakery, video hire, bottle shop and restaurants.

There are also a number of schools in the local area. With so many families migrating north there are plenty to choose from including public, private, selective, Anglican and Christian schools.

Great for

  • Just moments from station & shops
  • New footpath installed from town centre
  • The easy access to Sydney & Newcastle

"WELL KEPT SECRET..."

This is a fabulous street to live in. Looks nothing like the picture above. Its very quiet. Loads of forest all around, lots of sunshine, indigenous flora & fauna (imagine hearing the birds singing instead of traffic) but in less than 3 min by car you are in the Gosford CBD.

If you decide to walk instead of drive you can get to station, shops or stadium along Brisbane Water Drive in 10 minutes, or walk to the CBD in 5 minutes. The real beauty is that this street is protected from all the traffic & sounds of the CBD by Rumbulara Reserve so when you are home it seems that 'civilization' is a long way away - but its not.

It also has excellent access of medical centres, a private hospital, specialists etc.

If its schools you are after, you just can't go wrong with a choice of primary schools in 2km radius & a top-notch selective high school as well.

Definitely worth a look - street does not get the credit it is deserved... Great stepping stone for first property or go all the way to the top with some spectacular Penthouses available for reasonable prices.
