Reviews of Kalorama, VIC

"A little piece of paradise"

I absolutely love living in Kalorama. It is one of the most beautiful locations in Victoria. Driving home after a busy day at work through the trees immediately makes you forget any work stresses. The local community is close knit and friendly. The bird life is spectacular, and no matter what the weather, the environment is beautiful.

"Hidden gem in the hills only 45min to cbd"

I have lived here 6 years and each day continue to love it more
Having come from suburbia Patterson lakes it's a haven away from the hustle and bustle be dutiful surroundings wildlife such as wombats and Deer parrots cockatoos at your doorstep and 10 min drive down the mountain to Montrose/ Bayswater close to shops
Eastland is 15 min away Knox 20min and great schools such as mount Lilydale mercy college or Aquinas also bus service down mountain to school
The hills has a community feel to it everyone wants and looks out for each other
It's romantic re all the gardens of Olinda nearby or Olinda falls plus sky hi 5 min away but the beauty of Kalorama is its away from the tourists in Olinda but only 5 min away
Also if you are lucky you will see snow so far we have 3 years out of sick
Great scenic walks around the hills for enthusiasts or bike riding
Every house is different in the hills as is land size
Te neighbours its up to you how close you want to be
We keep to ourselves but everyone knows each other
Great for pets

Nature... Leafy… Undulating… Peaceful... Safe and Quiet! ...Atmospherically Rural with Views!!!

It has a shopping strip at its familiar well, with its own Post office, range of doctors, dentists, ophthalmologists... coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets, hairdressers, butchers and bakers, among others - if one should ever feel the need to take a break!

It is handsomely served by sporting facilities of all kinds... and boasts Tennis Courts, Ovals and Fields for AFL, soccer, rugby, and the like.... together with a full Aquatic Centre housing indoor/outdoor pools - therapy spas - and so on.

It is perfect for Family Living and offers a variety of Schools, Parks, Open spaces, Bike paths, local churches and a view of Silvan Damp

Add to this - a one hour trip to the Melbourne CBD in morning traffic or to the heart of the Mornington Peninsular, and similar destinations... and one realises its superb LOCATION!

In A few words...

A quiet, residential, unpretentious, friendly pocket of society – bus-stops and City-Link access to the City; sporting facilities/venues, parks, bike paths, creek, churches, schools, community and shopping outlets.

Just moved here recently and have a couple of questions.

When you say 'familiar well', are you talking about the town of Mount Dandenong, Olinda, Montrose or some other place?

Also, where is the Aquatic Centre you mentioned?

Thanks for the help!
