Looking for a home in Keilor Park?

"Better than you might think"

Generally a quiet suburb with most house reasonably to well maintained. Some recent developments of units has seen a minor increase in some local traffic, but not excessively. Having lived there for over 10 years I've found most people in the area quite pleasant and it's an area where people still frequently go for for a daily walk at all hours. There is a question mark over the old primary school which was knocked down some years ago, and with the area currently going through a regeneration, might be well served to have it rebuilt. The Kindergarten has a great reputation with many parents having attended there as children, and both my children loved their time there. The local shopping strip while not spectacular, services the needs of most last minute items and with the city being quite close, it's a more than handy for driving into the city in quick time. Large shopping centres Westfield and Highpoint within 10 minutes or 15 mins to Watergardens if you prefer. As a final point, I can and often achieve 100Mb download speeds, so the NBN in the area is excellent and as good as it gets.

Great for

  • Recent council street and footpath reinstatements have greatly improved the appearance of many streets
  • Big Blocks
  • Transport
  • Close to CBD
  • Close to shopping centres

Not great for

  • Local Supermarket needs an upgrade
  • Old school grounds need to be redeveloped to a useful recreation area for locals

"I'm a local and love it"

You can't ask for a better place- close to city, shops, cafés and parks. It's the tranquility of the burbs while being so close to life's other pleasures. It's a GEM of a place and people are starting to notice.

"Parks Greenary all year round."

Great Little suburb so close to everything. Zone to great private and public schools. Affordable homes. So close to Parks and Greenary. Would be great to see what brimbank council does with the old school ground. Hopefully brings something new to the local community. Lived here for 10yrs now and truly love it. Public transport easily accessible.

"Last bit of affordable real estate within 15kms of the city."

Best in the west, affordable housing, big blocks, zoned to great schools, one bus to the station, Keilor road and airport west shopping centre. Entrance to all main freeways in the west. City link to the Cbd. Just a matter of time with a train to the airport that the prices will skyrocket in this little suburb. Close to airport west shopping, Essendon fields, Dfo, Keilor road and Highpoint Shopping centre.

"What a saviour, only 12 kms from CBD, still cheap, very friendly, safe, quiet, green"

It is one of the best suburbs in west, very quiet, safe, what a lovely neighbourhood, mostly self owned houses, families with young kids, huge elderly population which are very helpfull, caring, peace loving. Not much traffic at all, still very good transport and connectivity. Tram only under 3 kms away, essendon north railway is close, all freeways on door. Large blocks of land, good houses for the price of 2 bedroom unit selling next door.Best public and private schools next door, kids recreational activities, parks etc. Sure Capital gain. In fact the last piece of inner city circle before one gets thrown onto calder and outer suburbs. Imagine in next 5 to 8 years time when you would have nearly paid it off and sitting on an average 850k+ property. I would not sell even If I get that money now, cause i wouldnt be able to buy such a good location any more in future.
