There are a couple of small parks on Wales and Empress Street (I think). However, if you want a big park, just cross Sommerville Road and go to Cruikshank Park which is just lovely. Council keeps it really well maintained these days and it is a favourite spot for joggers/walkers and families. After 2pm (?) it becomes off the lead dog park - so the numerous locals and their pets descend...it creates a lovely atmosphere ....the locals out enjoying the local amenities.
