"A suburban street with its own supermarket"
I like living here. We have off street parking, but the supermarket has an entire lot so there is always somewhere to park. There is a lot of through traffic due to the supermarket which can be hectic in the evening.
Koorala Street isn't the prettiest street but it rates so high for convenience. There is a service station at the end of the street, several furniture stores around the corner, takeaway shops - pizza, Thai, KFC, curry across the road and even a huge liquor store.
Local parks are all within ten minutes' walk and you can take the bus to town from around the corner.
Not one house - all apartments, so better for young couples without kids.
