"Convenience in the shape of a suburb"

This is a perfect pocket to call home if you need to regularly access the CBD or anywhere in the South/West. With Anzac Highway, South and Marion Roads all bordering the area you can get where you need to go in your own vehicle or on public transport. The main shopping centre has a pleasing collection of shops and eateries. The Westside bikeway is another great option for travelling in or out of the area.

"Never regret living here"

Super convenient suburb. 5 mins to cbd, 8 mins to airport, 10 mins to Glenelg, 20 mins walk to Adelaide show ground, 13 mins to coles Kurralta park. It is a great first home suburb. Just wish council could plant more deciduous street tree to add some colour to the suburb. Now that I have moved to more leafy suburb, I still missed the good old day where everything is so close.

"Most convenient suburb in Adelaide"

Decent prices for the location which is pretty hard to beat. It's generally nice and quiet and well serviced by public transport, shops etc. There are a couple of decent cafes in the area but basically zero restaurants to go have a meal at in the evening, although it's only a 5 minute uber ride into the city so not really an issue. Nice, safe streets with lots of parks, bike tracks, ovals etc and only a 10 minute max commute to the beach, what else could you ask for?

"Great for professionals"

I moved here as a first home buyer in May 2012 aged in my late 20s, and for the most part, really enjoy living here. It's extremely convenient, for example, and I'm always surprised to hear how early my colleagues have to get up in the morning.. hehe. Bad points: on the rare occasion my housemate has complained that she has heard dogs barking (I haven't heard much of this though), and I have been kept awake at night a couple of times by 'hoons' (as they're called on this site) driving along our street. It is also expensive to live here compared to other suburbs, but the convenient location - ie close to the city AND beach, plus 5-min walk to local shops - more than makes up for it. It's not perfect, but I'm originally from Melbourne and it's the best place I have lived :)

"Great value, extremely convenient"

Best for public transport, very regular services along Anzac Highway from early till late, takes you to city, Glenelg, Flinders uni/hopspital. peaceful quiet streets once away from the major roads (underpass substantially reduces noise with well contructed sound proofing).. City is a 5 minute drive, central to everything. 10 minutes to Glenelg. Coles/kmart 5 minute walk, open most hours. other specialty shops in the centre like hairdresser/newsagent/fast food/24 hour service station on South Road which is like small supermarket... generally safe middle class neighbourhood, with a broad range of housing styles from units on the main roads to more older style homes in the back streets. never had any issues with street crime etc and council have finally done much more tree planting in recent years so the streetscape will only improve with time. Only downside, depending how you see it, would be there isn't much of a range of restaurants or cafes etc in immediate vicinity if that's what you are looking for, but being so central a short drive can get you to any place you want.
