Reviews of Landsborough Street, Warragul

"A long tim ago, in a street far away..."

Yes, I spelt the title incorrectly on purpose - this street was the street I lived in for nearly 27 years - from nearly birth until I moved to Brisbane, and the person that lived there is long gone - BUT, this street is awesome; it has regional the hospital that I broke both my arms in (carpark); got a medi-helicopter ride with my little bro; and our dog pip got fried in the furnace (after they said he ate rat poison - which was on purpose! - thats why they destroyed the evidence). Lots of adventures & fire burning - it has quite a nice aspect in retospect as you can see the Baw Baw mountains and even the ski runs in winter - it is in a quant little town that is pretty white collar and only an hour from Melbourne. VERY quiet.

"My beloved childhood home"

I also grew up in this street. It was a great place to grow up on. Right next door to the hospital, so whenever my brothers had an accident it was close by. However, that also meant there were a lot of ambulances and cars, so a few of our cats passed away. Landsborough St is in a nice area of Warragul, within a nice fifteen minute walking distance of town and fairly close to one of the local secondary schools. My neighbours were all nice and friendly, so I highly recommend this street.

The ambulances do turn their sirens off when approaching the hospital but you still heard the roar of the V8 engines and the lights were still flashing... ahhhh, the good ol' days.

"Just out of town"

I spent my childhood on Landsborough St and have fond memories. Where the Princes Freeway (M1) runs through now used to be paddocks with large gum trees but now it's just a noisy 4 lane freeway. But you do get an uninterrupted view of Warragul and the mountains on the horizon as the street is elevated.

The West Gippsland Hospital is on this road so getting medical attention is not a problem (handy for kids who keep stacking their bikes!) and Warragul Secondary College is just across the other side of the freeway.

Warragul being a small town is only a 2 minute drive away with the railway station in easy reach. The only traffic you get on Landsborough St is the traffic to and from the hospital which isn't a lot. There's also only houses on one side of the street making it less crowded.
