Perth to Tasmania - rental chances

we are relocating from Perth to Tassie, 2 adults and an oodle. we have no jobs secured at this stage however, will be renting our Perth home out. what are the chances of securing a rental property over the locals? we aren't fussy about where (just not too far south) , however under $350ish a week would be ideal.

Hi Helen,

I own a small boutique Property Management business based in Evandale. The rental market is very competitive at the moment and we are seeing a high volume of applications. Due to the shortage of stock, prices are also higher at the moment then they have been in previous years. That said, we offer virtual tours on most of our listings and are happy to accommodate video walkthroughs for people who are unable to make it to a physical viewing (especially in this post covid era). Most Agents work on a 30% rent to income ratio, however will also take in to account significant savings or other forms of income.
