I've lived just up the hill from Legana for the past 10 years and I've watched this little suburb go from strength to strength. Set amongst the orchards, Legana is 15-20 minutes out of Launceston in the West Tamar region. Legana has been extremely popular for couples and families and with the pending development of a Primary School, this will be a very welcome addition to the area. There is a shopping hub that offers a Woolworths, eateries, post office, GP and petrol station (among other things) and the shopping precinct seems to be geared for further development. There are a couple of local parks to keep the kids entertained and numerous new subdivisions offering building and investment opportunities. The older areas of Legana are still very well sought after, with the Beach Road area often offering beautiful views of the Tamar River and Nobelius Drive offering spacious acreage living. We've seen a rise in median rental prices over the past 12 months of 13.5% (source Corelogic - Feb 2021), showing the area is becoming more and more popular, offering a suburb with plenty of local amenities without being in the centre of Launceston. Legana is an area to watch!
