Logan Central, QLD 4114

It’s ok I guess. A lot of ppl hate in the town

I lived here for nearly 18 years. Logan Council is as bad as it can get in my opinion. Nothing protect the honest and hard working citizens and nobody cares. Youth out of control, crime on every corner and no police patrols. Yet, speeding traps seem to be priority and more important. Calling the logan police several times myself due to robbery it only took them to attend hours later! This place is not livable unless you are a blugger, drug addict or seriously stupid ! That's why we moved away and anybody who thinks moving to logan because property prices are better , don't do it !!
This is my personal opinion and my right to express this .

I was talking to a Police officer off duty who advised that there are more terrorist, drug crimes, pedophiles, suicides and murders in the Logan region than any other region in SEQLD. This info aside, I have lived in Waterford/Marsden, Crestmead and Browns Plains and my personal opinion is I wouldn't raise my kids there or send them to state schools. Im talking about your neighbor 3 houses down who partys, the one down the street who rev's the V8. The constant disputes you hear from the state homes.
If you're looking for investment area's try Sunshine Coast, North Brisbane and even Southport on the Gold Coast.

I bought a home in Kingston in 2015. I have good neighbours who I trust very much and this city is reshaping everyday for the better. It’s a city that welcomes multicultural families. From people I have spoken to, Logan is to be one of the fastest growing cities in Qld. It’s about where the city is going, forget perceptions that the media delivers. You find what you look for, if you look for evil anywhere, you’ll find it, likewise if you look for prosperity, beauty and opportunity, you’ll find it here. Logan Central is only about 25 mins drive from Brisbane City and prices are less than half of many brisbane suburbs. This screams opportunity to me! The council is easy to contact and are generally very helpful. For example I was provided with new wheelie bins at no cost. Also talking with Council town planners, they have guided me through the rules for building granny flats (Secondary Dwellings and Auxilliary Units). I rate the city highly

I've lived there since 2007 and have and great neighbours are definitely Gold. I've never had a problem with anyone and the feeling is very neighbourly. Homes are built quite well, and there are more renovations going on improving the streets.

The infrastructure is good, and the City Council seems to be proactive and friendly and the police headquarters is just a couple of streets from us so it's great. Department of Transport, Library, Council buildings are on the same main intersection.

Good access to Trains, Buses.

Cost of living is very reasonable, and the Logan Sunday Markets is an interesting place to shop and swap.

I read about some crime in the areas further out, but haven't experienced any myself personally.

I think it's a great investment location, and good for families with easy highway access, cheap farmers produce and good potential. Rent is going up in the area, and investment properties have good occupation rates.

I would never live in the Greater Logan area as I just wouldnt feel safe for my kids. But I am thinking of buying an investment property here as I always believe it is a good investment principle to buy buy in a 'bad' surburb which borders a 'good' suburb and wait till the 'good' eventually pushes the 'bad' further out.

Logan Central has come along way. I think this is a great place to buy or invest. The council seems to be commited to cleaning up this area and creating a better name for the district. The houses in this area are still relatively affordable for the average family or single person. The more people that move to this area or show interest in investing the property prices will increase, thus increasing the street value in most areas.
I think its a great little pocket to start your property portfolio !!!

Logan Central fan !

I have high hopes for the Logan district in a few years to come. I am buying my first investment in this area and whilst they are still very affordable, this south district area is deemed for 40% more housing in the next 10 years, which demand will only ever increase property value. My advice buy a cheaper house, renovate it.
As for the title "Bogan Central" this will change as higher rent prices increase and property value increases. A lot of first home buyers have snapped up some bargains in this areas, in turn will see the houses being much better looked after, will increase street appeal.
I would love to see this area increase in ratings.... your comments are appreciated !!!!

Logan City is situated only 25 kms from Brisbane and as Logan city is just north of the Gold Coast it has much to offer the visitor. You can visit one of the many parks along the Logan River and in close proximity is the Kingston Butter Factory which is now a museum and art centre, Daisy Hill Koala Park or Springwood Environmental Park. There is no shortage of accommodation in the area with something to suit all tastes and budgets. Logan has great shopping facilities in many areas of the city as well as great restaurants, bistros and cafes. There are numerous sports and recreational facilities and real estate bargains can still be snatched in certain areas although the prices are on the rise due to the closeness to both Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
