Great town heaps to do and see

The people are very nice and friendly here. Lots of good restaurants. Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, etc. It's a very clean and organized city.

I think this is the perfect place to plan a holiday. It’s a great place where you can sit on the edge of the Murray River and have a picnic. My favourite bit was watching little ducklings walk with their parents. One of the little ducklings was too busy eating food and didn’t realise its parents and siblings were already in the water!

I think this place is wonderful to spend time with family and friends. I had a great time-you should definitely visit Mildura!

i was on a business contract in Mildura for few months, i am in my early 40s, have to say the town is nice for a regional place and modern, but if you are not from there you will never fit in, people are weird and rude as, travelled almost every single town in Australia wide and positively saying by far Mildura has the worst morals community, sorry but i didn't have one single positive experience back there, people are terribly rude and they are not shy of showing it.

Decided to move to Mildura to experience a bigger regional town. Signed our first contract to build a house after only just 6 months. Ended up living in Mildura for approx 4 years. Friendly people, huge motorsport following & best restaurants you will find in regional Victoria. Very cheap to build/buy a nice property and also selling will make you a nice return after only a few years. Only left due to wanting to try the big smoke and not having any family base in Mildura.

I would never recommend Mildura, the streets are full of trash and dog crap, the public toliets are filthy, all the time. The people are rude and under the illusion they are some form of elite human race, (story toppers). My family and I have been to alot of places around Australia and we have never experienced anything like Mildura. I would highly recommend avoiding the place.

Mildura is a thriving and cosmopolitan community, nestled on the banks of the mighty Murray River. It has all the facilities you would expect in a large metropolis, while still maintaining a country town feel.

Best place Ever

Mildura is a Rural City with a population of approx 50,000 & surrounding areas totalling nearly 100,000. The city is or was famous for its wines and fruit farms however the long drought (although now lifted) has impacted on these industries.
Mildura is about a 10 hour drive from Sydney & 4 hours from Adelaide. It has all the shopping needs one could want with cinemas, major shopping chains i.e Woolies, Coles, Super IGA, Dick Smiths, Harvey Norman & many, many more. Mildura also has another large shopping centre called Centro Mildura in Mildura South. Mildura also caters your needs with new car dealers making available almost every franchise in the motor industry.
Mildura has 4 eighteen hole quality golf courses in close proximity. There are numerous sporting grounds, a race course & large trotting complex. Plenty of hotels, motels & caravan parks make Mildura complete. Mildura is definately the go ahead City in Victoria with the States 2nd Casino being built in Mildura alongside the Murray River in the not too distant future.

Mildura is situated about 550 km from Melbourne, and only a 3 hour drive from Adelaide.

It is a large regional town with a population of more than 30,000. It's main industries have been citrus fruit and grape production, although both industries have faced their fair share of challenges with the drought that has affected rural Australia and also the huge grape oversupply.

The town has a very strong sense of community, with lots of recreational activities on offer, a number of schools and a strong sporting culture. The town is large and offers all of the major facilities and services.

Mildura is truly regional, and both Melbourne and Adelaide can be easily accessed by bus, train, plane or by car on one of the major highways.

It was some years ago that I visited Echuca but one thing that sticks in my mind is the Emmylou historic paddle steamer. There was something totally relaxing about cruising along the Murray River on this boat. We went in summer, a great time because there are plenty of water activities. My sister and I loved water skiing while fishing was a hit with some of the other members of our party. There were also plenty of family friendly places to eat. If you appreciate architecture, you’ll love taking a stroll through the streets of Echuca. There really is something for everyone in this welcoming town.

Mildura is a country town located on the border of Victoria and New South Wales. It is approximately a twelve hours drive from Sydney to Mildura via the Hume Highway and Sturt Highway. It is a good idea to make Wagga Wagga your pit stop before heading to Mildura. This is because the road between Mildura and Wagga Wagga is all grassland and there are no shops or stops around this area.

Mildura is famous for its oranges and wines. There are a few boutique wineries and plenty of fruit farms. Additionally, there is a town centre where locals are able to get their daily necessities. Just like any other country towns, there are restaurants, cafes and fast food. A nice place to visit in Mildura is the Murray River, which is great for a family day out.

Mildura sits close to the NSW/Victorian Border on the Murray River. This large town offers great shopping centres, restaurants, bistros, cafes and fast food outlets, as well as all styles of accommodation from caravan parks to B & B’s and Guest houses to 5 star hotels. Of course being on the river a houseboat is an alternative style of accommodation. There is plenty to do such as visiting the wineries, mini golf, see a historical cottage or join a guided tour and see the ancient sites, The Pink Lakes, fossils etc. Mildura has good sporting facilities and a number of art galleries, craft shops and historical museums in close proximity.
