"Good area"

It’s a decent suburb and close enough to Brisbane. I think the investors who surged into the suburb in 2019-2021 has kind of stripped the guts out of it. We rented here in 2020 briefly. Suburb in transition I think, houses are very old but it’s near to the garden city

"Everything You Need In A Suburb And More!!!!"

Currently ranked the 2nd best suburb in Brisbane on Homely and for very good reason. With close access to Brisbane's CBD (9km), the M1 and Gateway Motorway, Westfield Carindale and Garden City, great public transport and a buffet of choice when it comes to great schools, Mount Gravatt East is the perfect suburb to reside. Having lived and worked in the area for several years, it's great to see the transformation it's undertaken whilst still maintaining the family friendly vibe the suburb is known for.

"Ultimate Balance of Green Space with Great Access to Urban Areas"

My office is based in Mount Gravatt East and I'm in the area constantly. Ultimate impression of the suburb is the amount of sheer greenery, which should be appreciated to no end. The people of this suburb know how lovely it is here and they care for it. Yet there's still fantastic access to more urban and lifestyle areas via great bus routes and Logan Road.

It also represents a fantastic way for young families to buy into a house on land for a relatively affordable price, while boarding some very popular suburbs (Holland Park and Mansfield prising to mind).

The absolute perfect suburb for the family lifestyle.

"Green, family-friendly and quiet suburb close to the city"

Very close to CBD. High scoring state high school MGSH, good inexpensive primary Catholic school - St.Agnes. Great newly built Mount Gravatt Plaza. Wide streets, nice views from and on to the hills. Our family loves the area and neighbours. Not many housing commission pockets and no busy train in proximity means less dodgy people around.

This is the most unusual rating for this suburb. I've lived in Mt Gravatt East for a couple of years (on Carrara st) and it's literally Pleasantville.

"This suburb has everything and less than 10km from the CBD."

Only 9km from the CBD as the crow flies, and nestled among 4 major roads (regular bus services in every direction), it's cheaper than the equivalent suburbs on the north side making it a great option for commuting workers and families. Also close to Mt Gravatt TAFE and the two Griffith university campuses for students. Two major shopping centres Carindale & Garden City are a short (5min) drive away. Close to the Mt Gravatt Plaza, shops and cafes on Logan Rd, and the Mount Gravatt Showgrounds, there is plenty to do. Plenty of schooling options (including an active homeschool group), aquatic centre, public library, parks & off-leash areas, and a scout hall for families. A range of big chain stores like Bunnings, but also "mum and dad" indie-style shops. Lots of cute post-war homes in this suburb and generous block sizes. It's also NOT a flood-prone area. It loses 1 star from me only because trains don't service the area. This suburb used to be a hidden gem, but I see that house prices are just starting to go up - people are noticing that it's a cheaper 'in' to a wonderful area close to the CBD if they can't afford to live in equivalent northern suburbs ($100k+ more expensive).

"Great living"

Nestled between three brilliant high schools, Mt Gravatt East is 10klms from the city, and close to public transport. Also 7 minutes to the newly renovated Carindale and 7 minutes to Garden City, shopping options are great. Lots of changes in the area over the last few years. Great place to live.

I have lived in Mt Gravatt East now for 12 months. Whilst hesitant at first, I have ended up in a house sit situation, and have loved it. The amount of change in the area even over the last 12 months has been incredible. Homes are being renovated, demolished, and yet, at the moment, it is still affordable. Close to everything, excellent public transport, and schools, I rate it very highly.
