"Peace and quiet in pretty surroundings"

Myrtleford is a great place to live for some genuine peace and quiet, fresh country air and to enjoy a relaxed slower paced way of life in beautiful natural surroundings. There are pretty views of mountains everywhere and clear flowing rivers such as the Ovens and Buffalo Rivers for swimming and fishing, countless stunning country drives to be taken, including Mount Buffalo National Park which is truly stunning!. Close to Hotham and Falls Creek for skiers. The town has a thriving tourism industry due to the fact that so many tourists pass through this town on their way to the ski fields and proximity to Beechworth and Bright. This also means the town doesn't and has never really had that isolated, small minded town feel and there are constantly new people around. Great places to eat in town, including great coffee, lunch and pizza. Even more options 20 mins away in Beechworth. Countless wineries to visit. Coles, Foodworks plus an AWESOME monthly farmers market. P-12 College plus a Catholic primary AND secondary (unusual for such a small town). Friendly locals who are used to newcomers in town. Casual and part time employment easy to find but full time work may be hard to come by. Good place to start your own business. Weather is a real four seasons climate, no humidity, winter nights can be quite cold.
