Reviews of Newcomb Street, Ocean Grove
"A perfect street for those who like quiet, privacy & a touch of country."
After holidaying in Ocean Grove for a number of years, my husband & I always yearned to retire here permanently one day. That day came about quite suddenly, when all of our responsibilities came to quite a sudden end. With no further demands, from family, we decided that the holiday house we had bought quite recently should be where we lived permanently. There was no sense in trying to maintain 2 homes, one in Williamstown, where maintenance was a very high expense & we just wanted to be here all the time!
It was then or probably never. Although our first grandchild had just been born & I had always wanted to be near & not so far, we did IT! Impulse YES, regrets NO!
We see far more of family & friends on a quality basis than we ever did before we moved. We joke that we are running a non-profit B & B (but given that we were in the Hospitality Industry for yrs, we are fine with that. Our neighbours are friendly and very supportive & value the environment & their privacy that we do.Newcomb St is unique...one way, unmade roads & the one few cul-de-sacs that remain in old O.G.
You couldn't swap it nor put a price on it. Anyway ours is not for sale!!!
