Is West Fyans St in Newton a secure buy or is the "poor cousin"?

Just want to understand if houses around west fyans are also well considered. I realize it is not as prime as the well known streets but how does it rate against west Geelong, for example? Does a house need to be period to be "valued" ? Is west fyans street considered a busy rd and if so how much does that detract from the newtown popularity?

Definitely considered a desirable area. But it is a busy road. But then, people pay $500 000+ to live on Buckley St Footscray!

Dont know if this will help but yes and no....
The reason I say that, is that 'YES' it's a busier road and as such it could be 'seen' to be a poor cousin (less expensive), but at the same time though its a 'NO' as what that really means is that the price may be a little bit lighter than the more expensive streets and as such provide better opportunities to get in to a very secure and well regarded suburb.

In the end it is a secure buy; It is still Newtown and the conveniences available to the streets off the main roads are available to those on.... the cafes, restaurants, shopping, schools, parks, and easy access to the city, are available to West Fyans Street as much as they are to Virginia Street or similar.
