Yes, the road does get busy during the morning and afternoon coming and going home, but at night it is quiet as well as during the day. Oakey flat road travels along a ridge line through Narangba which gives you glimpses and views to the Glass House Mountains. It reminds you that you are on the country fringes, but not out of reach of the city. It has a friendly neighbourhood which really came to the fore when during the big storms in 2008, after trees cut the road, the neighbours gathered, with chain saws, rakes and brooms to clear the road and direct the traffic through.
