Old Northern Road, Dural, NSW 2158

Old Northern Road is one of those roads that traverses several neighbourhoods and locales, and is in places lovely, in others, horrid.

There is plenty of real estate along this part of Glenhaven Road, and properties tend to be smaller the closer to central facilities, and bigger – semi-rural, further out. There are large acreages on this part of Old Northern Road, and many facilities appropriate to the location.

The Flower Power Nursery on Old Northern Road (near the end of Glenhaven Road) is huge, and allegedly one of the best garden centres in Australia.
As well as the landscape centre with its eight themed display gardens and the beautiful nursery, there are water features, plenty of seating, and many plant displays. There is also a café, gift shop, a good children’s playground, and a lake. It’s actually good for a day trip!

There are plenty of other gardening centres in the region, and Glenhaven has a public primary, a decent playground, a Rudolph Steiner school and other facilities including a community centre and good vet clinic. There is a nursing home up the road next to the Steiner school, and further along towards Dural there is a Woolworths and another preschool, as well as cafes and other shopping facilities.
