Does Perth get cyclones?

Not really, we are too far away from the tropical areas up north. Sometimes they do come down quite far, Karratha and areas like that might get hit. Then we might get some wind and rain, but it is usually a 'winter storm' situation - although they can always get bad with trees uprooted and power blackouts. But, on the whole no - Perth is not a risk area for that type of thing on a regualr basis. Usually we get slightly lowers temps and a slight breeze at those times, otherwise we would never know.
