Vahland and Leach are perpendicular to each other so I don't think there are too many cars using Vahland as an alternative to Leach per se. However, Vahland is a fairly major road which links Leach Hwy to South St and has a number of schools, shops etc on or near it, so yes it is quite busy at peak times.
