Does anyone live on the island and work in Brisbane CBD? Costs?

Russell Island, QLD 4184 is located within the Redland local government area, part of the Brisbane Region in Queensland.

Looking at buying in Redland City Council - the islands would be great but.... Is there a local/mates rates card for residents for the ferry? and how long from any of the islands to Brisbane CBD? I've taken >40min to drive from Vic Point to CBD, catching the train is too expensive because there's 3 of us making the trip every day, also, do you just have to park your car on a nearby street on the mainland or is there a car park?

I use The ferries daily, It costs me about $60 a week. To be able to just chill out for 20 minutes on the water is worth everything bit of the $60, espically considering how cheap It is to own a house on the Island. My partner and i own 3 cars, we jeep twist on the Island and one stays on the mainland, which we park in the public car park.
