Still no date shown on the above post by '88KATmando'. This website is essentially useless, because posts are not dated in real-time OR as soon as they are approved by mods/made available on the website. There is thus no way for readers to know whether a post is still relevant, or not.

Owen, 88KATmando here. Today's date is 14/03/2020 - just incase! I posted my comment about 5 - 5.5 years ago. I see what you mean, no date, crazy system. It is hard to use. It makes me wonder whether it is just a self moving beast and whether anyone monitors the site or updates it? As I live on another island, best to speak with someone who lives on the southern end of Russell to find out how broadband coverage is now days. I know there is a second and new communication tower being put in on Russell as we speak, as reported in the local paper. By the way I got a port, on Lamb, not long after I posted my comment, it was easier and quicker on Lamb, as prior, I lived on Macleay and I did not get a port at all, the whole 12 months I lived there. I do have trouble quite often, even today, talking on my mobile and have to stand at my side door facing Russell to either talk with someone or get my feed or downloads to come through on my mobile, but my broadband on my pc, which is set up on the other side of my home, works fine. Hope you get your answer

Sooo, this website does not show any DATE whatsoever in conjunction with this post; not even a YEAR. Therefore, the post/information is completely useless to me. It might be 10 years old/completely irrelevant now, or it might have been posted yesterday.

Epic fail.

Not sure about broadband on Russell. I have lived on both Macleay and now Lamb and have had trouble getting an available port on both islands, hope one becomes available soon as WiFi is expensive. COVERAGE: I believe the back end or the far end or the end closest to Stradbroke can have big problems with mobile and wifi - and broadband? coverage, so be very careful. This I know as told straight to me by the horses mouth a Telstra guy. From the ferry out to say Waratah street should still be ok but best to check it all out before committing to living at that end of Russell.
