MacLeay or Russell islands DIRECT to North Stradbroke island?

Hi. Im in Victoria at the moment intended to head North asap. The smaller islands near Stradbroke look great. My question is is it possible to get from MacLeay or Russell islands DIRECT to North Stradbroke island?

You would need a boat to the still side of south Stradbroke (not really populated at all) and then have to walk over a big sand hill to swim in an isolated beach, with lots of big bities (sharks) No, only way is a convoluted trip via ferry to Redland Bay, bus to Cleveland another bus down to the Stradbroke Ferry Terminal and then a flyer or larger or vehicular ferry to Stradbroke, still side, then a bus over to the patrolled surf beach. You may as well just go straight to Straddie and stay for a holiday there. They did trial a ferry from the islands to Straddie a couple of years ago, but it was limiting and it just died off. Best if the authorities or companies would just commit to it and have a service that runs all day everyday, no ad hock effort (with the best of intentions though) as the trial was.
If it were that easy we would be another Hope Island! and have their land and house prices!
