Reviews of Station Street, Thornleigh
"Could potentially be a lovely street for the right people...."
Short walk to national park, recreation oval, shops (supermarket, coffee shops, bottle shop, tobacconist, seafood, newsagent, butcher, bakery, aust post + more), train station. Good location with M2, 2 major shopping centres, plethera of service stations nearby (all <15min. drive). However, Prone to blackouts (during storms, highwinds or for no particular reason), TV (Analogue and digital) reception can also be periodically affected by the above (street is cable ready), some young kids around - can be noisy on weekends and school holidays, commuters park on the street during business hours to get the train (50min. ride to Sydney CBD), trucks sometimes park for 'rest' with engines running, traffic noise (including sirens - San. hospital nearby) is moderate to high and is 24/7 with Pennant Hills Road being the main route for trucks to and from the F3 and the 3am freight train (depends on which end of the street you're at). Would suit young family with street smart kids or those who rely on public transport and close shopping (you can even push your trolley home! as long as you return it!). p.s. If you like friendly and actively involved neighbours this is the place for you (I personally don't).
