"great family place"
We love living in Attadale!
Pros: Leafy and quiet streets
excellent primary school
half way between the city and Fremantle. 20 mins to the city in peak hour and ten mins from freo.
Cons: The local public high school has a historic bad reputation. This is changing as the suburbs near the high school (i.e. willagee) move up the socioeconomic ladder.
No nightlife.
The river is better in Bicton to be honest.

"Excellent suburb for friendly, good schools, dog lovers and riverside recreation."
One reason the suburb is expensive is it has river frontage and a hill facing NE over the river towards Perth (Hills are rare in Perth, especially with water views), and therefore it's value should grow. There is easy access to Point Walter in neighbouring Bicton for picnics, swimming and boating, and has easy access for private and public gyms. It has a park with the friendliest dogs and owners on the foreshore. Parents are really happy with both state and private primary schools, and Santa Maria for Year 5-12 girls. Residents on the whole are considerate and happy.
