"A suburb on the rise."
Bell Park is centered around Seperation Street, Midland Highway, Anakie Road, to the north west of Geelong. It has been a well held area for many years with many original property owners staying in the same place since around the 60's and 70's. Over the past few years original owners are moving on and leaving good opportunities for young couples and families to move in and either renovate homes or demolish and build modern units given that the land sizes are all reasonably generous (around 600+m2 as an average). The majority of shops are located on the major streets of Seperation Street as well as Anakie Road with the Bell Post Shopping Centre (includes Safeway, Newsagent, Bakers Delight and many others). There are also some smaller strip shopping in places such as Hughes Street and Milton Street, which feature nice smaller supermarkets, butchers, greengrocers etc. There are a good mix of private and public schools, kindergartens, daycares in the immediate and adjoining area making it a great spot for families.
The biggest problem for Bell Park is the traffic that runs along the major streets (Anakie Road, Seperation Street, Thomson Road) with a few hoons using the road. Other than that good access to Geelong, Melbourne and the Ring Road makes it good for travellers.
