Reviews of Bellbird Park, QLD
"Safe, Peaceful & Growing Suburb"
One of the most peaceful suburbs I’ve ever lived in. So much nature around, friendly and helpful neighbours. Always looking out for each other if you make the effort to make friends. There’s 4 malls under 8 minutes. Augusta village, brookwater village, Orion and Springfield lakes local hub. Beautiful golf club for some good catchups with friends. The houses have more character. Many agents said people specifically ask for bellbird park for its good reputation. You’ll love it here.

"Bellbird Park is PERFECT! Best decision to move"
I've been living here almost a year now and I must say that Bellbird Park is the best of both worlds; in terms of nature and reputable lovely neighbourhood. The houses from Santa Monica drive towards, Gordon, Harry St and Trevor St are only a minute away from Augustine Heights and 4 minutes from the lovely Brookwater Golf Club. The land size decent with 500/600sqm which gives ample space compared to the new builds with just 200sqm. The growth on the houses have been very steady and it's only 7 minutes to Springfield Central Station and Orion. Bellbird Park is catching up to Augustine Heights & Brookwater house prices because of the naturistic aspect. Seen a lot of the renters moving off that strip and owner occupiers moving in making the houses more beautiful as well. Don't believe what they say about the stink, at least on the streets mentioned above, it has never had any smell the whole of past year. Much better than Collingwood Park, Redbank Plains or Goodna as it shares a good reputation. Redbank plains socio economic dynamic is different, Goodna floods and Collingwood park is a lot of cheap new builds and renters. If you're buying to live or sell after some time, reputation is very important & Bellbird Park has it.

"Paradise with a lot of native animals"
We live on an acre in a quiet street with lovely and considerate neighbours. There are wallabies, blue tongue lizards, water dragons, koalas sometimes and many birds, including Bell birds.
I enjoy the weather. It is warmer than Brisbane, which is fine. It gets quite cold in Winter, but we don't feel the need to use any heating, except an outdoor fire pit, every now and again. I don't like the cold and moved to Bellbird Park from far north Queensland, so it cannot be too cold.
There are parts of Bellbird Park which at times, have a lot of traffic - Rosemary Street and Fiona Street. This is likely to be due to recent housing development, including new lots where there was previously bushland and subdivision of older large lots.

"Best decision we ever made!"
Moved into our newly built home in Bellbird Park just over 3 years ago and have never looked back! We have never lived anywhere where neighbours all not only know each other, but look out for each other too. It is not uncommon to get several text messages letting me know I have left the garage door up!
Local parks are fantastic for this kids and we are so close to Brisbane, Ipswich and Orion and Redbank Town Square Shopping Centers. With the new Lions Stadium, USQ University and sporting fields being built nearby and the new Springfield Public Hospital addition coming in the next few years, why would we ever need to move?

"Many open green spaces and woody walking tracks"
Residents adore Bellbird Park’s abundance of open green spaces, foliage-lined streets, and woody tracks, which are perfect for hikes, cycling and family picnics. For those who’d like to sweat it out indoors, Bellbird Park has an Indoor Centre, which houses a stadium and multipurpose room for local events.
Finance budget 2021-22 allows 1 Primary school in Bellbird Park besides High School in Bellbird Park opening in year 2024. Easy access to M2 and M5 motorway and 7 minutes driving distance from Springfield and Goodna railway station provides easy public transport but there is no much bus passing through Bellbird park. Growth in Springfield CBD and near by White Rock is also a great benefit to Bellbird Park residents.

"Very popular for renters!"
This area is very popular for renters, we often see young professionals looking in the area as the homes are relatively new with an average rent of $420 per week which is a little than the price tag of Springfield Lakes. The bonus is that this location is still very close to the Orion shops, but also has the new Redbank Town Square only minutes away. Highly recommend for anyone looking at Springfield or Augustine Heights to check this area out.
If you need any more information on the area, I am happy to help!

"Leafy and quiet yet close to everything"
We bought our family home a year and a half ago and have been very happy living here in Bellbird Park. We have been so pleasantly surprised by how friendly our neighbours are. It is lovely to have so much greenery around, a big yard for kids to play, and birds singing and coming to visit all the time. It is also very convenient being so close to Redbank plains shops, Redbank Plaza and Orion shopping centres. I have never once felt unsafe here, even though we often forgot to lock our car or house, and have no fence or dog. It is also quiet. There are different areas in Bellbird Park which may have different pros and cons, it is important to investigate first and ask the locals. This review is about the higher part of Bellbird Park, near and around Fiona Street. Personally, buying our home in Bellbird Park has turned out to be a great move for our family, and very affordable. Commuting to the city is not so hard being so close to the motorway's entrance and the train station in Goodna. We have also been happy with day care centres around here, we have tried two. I haven't heard negative things said about the 2 catchment schools, Camira SS and the State School in Augustine Heights. A downside is that there are no buses here anymore, however there is the flexilink service, where a cab can pick you up at home for $1-$2 and take you to the local shopping centres or the train station, if you book a hour ahead. Consider moving here, it is so nice to have nature around while not being too far from everything.

"A decent suburb"
My family and I have lived in Bellbird park for close to 2 years (older section) after moving from the gold coast, and besides a dickhead hoon on his motorbike popping wheelies as he rides down the hill, there has been no issues at all, never been broken into, car or house, never seen a fight errupt, neighbours are nice enough, generally the people are nice, yes there are plenty of rougher people around the area, but you get that in pretty much every area.
Only downside is there aren't many nice parks over this side, in the newer section there are tons of parks with playgrounds for kids, here there's a crappy gross park near the woolies servo but it's always filled with broken bottles and I refuse to let my kids play there, in regards to schools , I've had kids go to Kruger state school, Redbank plains, (which I'd avoid at all costs) and the newer Bellbird park collage which is fantastic my son is autistic and they have gone above and beyond to help him succeed.

"A hole"
My family lived here for a short time in 2019. We decided to move out the day we moved in, we didn't even unpack most of our things. After one week at the local high school, we decided to enrol our kids at distance education. After 3 months, we moved to Mansfield. I have to agree with others who have mentioned how bad the schools are in the area. Our kids came home telling us what had happened at school and they begged us to take them out. The only private school in the area didn't appear much better after we had spoken to our neighbours. All our neighbours spoke of the high crime rate, in particular, break ins. Our final straw was when we came home one Sunday night to find a picklock jammed into our front door. Someone had tried to break in. We had 3 months left on our lease and we just gave the agent the keys and got "out of dodge" .....lesson learned. .....never again. Thank goodness we didn't buy in the area.
You have commented on 31 Dec 2019, then you must be talking about the newly built secondary school, could you explain what went wrong in the school?
"Revolting"
I lived in this revolting suburb for 3 months and had to get out. Firstly its incredibly cold in winter. Even with a wood heater in the house, I froze. Secondly we had a bush fire nearly burn down the house. Thirdly, the place is full of bogans and ferals. The schools have shocking naplan results and shocking behaviour. (There is a reason why they built a pathways school in Goodna, the next suburb). The fourth reason is that it is right next to (2 heads) Goodna and Kruger state school is also nearby. The fifth reason is that it has the highest break in rate in Brisbane. Crime is totally out of control. There is a reason why the houses are so cheap here, because no one wants to live here. I only lived here for 3 months, however, I have never met so many miserable, pathetic people in my life. I have lived in Brisbane for 25 years, on the Northside, Southside and Bayside. I only lived in the western suburbs for 3 months. I left for Yeronga and never went back to anywhere near Bellbird Park again. I wont even work in any of the schools out that way because they are generally awful, even the private schools are terrible.
You sure you lived in the bellbird park we know mate? Got dropped a brochure in my mailbox for a recent sale, 22 Trevor st for $885k & 13 Gordon drive $861k. It sure isnt cheap to me.
"Great for a family"
I lived in Bellbird Park for 2 years before moving to RBP. I loved it, and found it to to be a great place to be with two small children. My kids loved their daycare centre, our neighbours were great and it was nice and quiet at night. Overall, I was very impressed. We had some minor issues with spiders but the real estate agent had a pest treatment done and it did the trick!

"Hard to believe were in suburbia"
I have lived in Perdita Street for a few years now and often sit out on my back deck and forget im in suburbia. The wonderful sounds of the birds in the morning and afternoon is so relaxing. I love the greenness of the suburb and the neighbourly spirit of everyone in our street. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Perdita Street to anyone.
Great for
- Quietness, greenery, birds and neighbours
Not great for
- Stuggle to find any - cant find any!

Looking for a long term lease rental accom, and found a home in Redgum Court..can anyone tell me whether ADSL Broadband is available in this area...? very important, as we're now living on 8 acres at Buccan( Logan area) and are on Satellite which is very expensive and very inefficient to our needs..also do buses regularly service this area...any help would be very helpful ((*_*))
We are with Telstra and have ADSL2 which supports 3 xboxs, 3 laptops and 2 desktops not to mention the Ipods etc (alot of teens in our home!). We dont generally have issues with our internet. Bus services aren't the best but not the worst. My kids use the public transport system, our only complaint would be a more regular service. Hope this helps!!
Telstra or TPG are available at BBP, you will find this Suburb is very safe and peaceful.
Looking to move in johansen court .. area .. looks quiet and wild life areas .. any down sides to this area of bellbird park please
Considering purchasing a home in frangipani Street, can anyone who is lived in the area for awhile give me any pros and cons on this location? Thank you
Looking to find a rental property to move in. Can some one tell me which area is good to move in. How is crime rate in Bell bird park. Is it safe place.
"Listen to the bellbirds....."
I have lived and worked in and around this leafy suburb for many years. The suburb has all amenities and is an excellent choice for first home buyers and families looking for excellent value for money homes. The suburb has a large diversity from small allotments to large acreage. Only minutes to the Orion shopping centre which is set to be the largest one of it's kind in the southern hemisphere. Close to the Goodna train station and shops. Approximately 25 klms to Brisbane City and less than 15 klms to Ipswich City Centre.

If you lived here for a short time, most likely your feedback here isnt correct. During that short time, did you ever have a fire issue or stink? Ive lived here for 6+ years with none of the issues. Its bordering beautiful houses from Augustine heights and brookwater. Gordon drive, Trevor st houses are spacious and beautiful. They are on the rise too $$ beautiful area for a young family.
