"Leafy suburb close to everything"
I have been living here for more than 2 years now and I should say it's one of the best suburbs in Brisbane. It is very quiet, has wonderful creeks, parks and dog parks but is just a 5-10 mins drive to the busy suburbs which has everything we may ever need. So it has the best of both worlds and is a great place to live.

"Quiet suburb yet close to everything we need"
It’s getting harder and harder to find a quiet yet convenient suburb in Brisbane. Living in this suburb you can enrol your kids into two of the best school (McDowall SS and Aspley SS)in Brisbane, our new home is very close to Asian grocery store (Sunlit in Aspley hypermarket), big shopping mall (Chermside Westfield shopping mall) and hospitals.
Some people complained about the public transport in Bridgeman Downs, but we can take the bus to the CBD (arriving within 30min) from our home (off peak hours), plus we have cars so we don’t mind that there is no train station in the area, in fact, I don’t like living too close to the train station as it’s noisy.
What I love the most is the park close to our new home! My girl and my dog love playing in the park and everyone we met are so friendly and nice!

"Super central location on the north side of Brisbane"
A great place to live that's close to all the big hubs on the north side, Chermside, north lakes with easy access to main roads to get moving north or south all whilst being less than 25mins to the CBD.

"Great place to live"
I have been living here for four years and loved it very much. It’s quiet and convenient. It closes to Aspley Hypermarket, Chermside Westfield and local markets. We have very friendly neighbourhood here. It’s a great and safe place for families and retirement living.

"Street parties sound"
Street parties sound rather interesting but I'm not too sure that it would be very conducive for people who are looking for a quiet place to retire at the end of the day. But I'd say that with the amount of facilities in the area that it could be quite convenient for you to be in close proximity to all of the recreational options and not to mention having medical care in near reach!
"Family friendly suburb"
Great community spirit and feels safe for family living. Peaceful living, especially if you enjoy parks and walking tracks. Fantastic choice of great schools, shops, transport and close to city. Wonderful period homes with good size yards, perfect for family life.

"Great family suburb"
Classy suburb with classy residents, properties and businesses!
Having quality real estate, flood free, large and elevated blocks of land, lots of green spaces and trees are some of the reasons attracting families and professionals to move in and settle for a long term. There is an increasing demand on reasonable size blocks of land and quality housing - fortunately there are still acreage properties available for future subdivisions.
The neighbours are friendly and helpful and there is a huge range of employment and shopping options, parks, schools and hospitals all within easy reach.
Bridgeman Downs is the place to be if moving into a quality lifestyle for the family in Brisbane North within 15km radius from the CBD!

hi i just move to bridgeman downs...just found that there are frequent aircraft flying over during the day (I live near Graham Road), did you also hear that aircraft noise??
"Highly recommended suburb"
I lived here more than 5 years never had any problems . It’s a good suburb to grow up the family. It’s quite leafy suburb not far from Brisbane City. Close to everything. Large blocks of land and big good looking houses. New residential developments are now happening every where in Bridgeman Downs. We had no problems with the public transport. Two buses are running every 10 minutes to city and one via Chermside. Only 35 minutes taken by bus and only 25 to 30 minutes taken by car. Brisbane Airport is only 15 minutes drive. Great shopping centres Westfield Chermside is only 5 km away and Aspley hyper market is only 3 km away. Two large hospitals Prince Charles and Holy Spirit are only within 5 km radius.

"Beautiful suburb"
Have just moved into the area on the border of Bridgeman Downs and McDowall and I am loving it. There are so many parks to choose from to take the kids, location is amazingly convenient to everything (Chermside, Aspley Hypermarket, McDowall Village) and yet it feels like you are away from it all when you go home to the quiet suburb with huge houses and big blocks of land. Awesome family friendly suburb and I think we have made the perfect decision by moving into this area.

"Great place to live"
Bridgeman Downs is a great easy-living suburb - it has everything and within walking reach. It is a suburb wilth all kind of families. Demograhpic is quite mixed too, originally there were a lot of retirees, but now quite a few professionals, and families are moving in. I have lived in the area for thirty years. It is one of the best and posh suburb in Brisbane. It is only a few minutes drive to Chermside the biggest Westfield shopping centre in Australia. Just 14 kilometres to Brisbane CBD. Hospitals and schools are nearby . In my opinion, due to its relative proximity to city and availability of all kind of amenities, it is good place to buy and establish a home.

"Excellent place to live for any ages"
We have been living in this area close to reserve bush land for 10 years. It is very quiet, safe, lovely and enjoyable place. When you come back from a hard day or night at work, you won't notice the difference. Always quiet from busy traffic and like. Neighbours are friendly and meet each other often from walking, exercising along in the parks or other social events like open air movie or Christmas New Year celerabrations. Parks are well maintained and complete with kids playgrounds and personal exercise/gym machines. Most houses are new and yards are neat and tidy. Mostly working couples or young familes and semi-retired people living here. You can see very often personalised plated new cars.
Public transport is much better than years ago with addition of Aspley Hypermarket Bus Station (with bike locked up area) with BUZ services to city via Maundrell Tce. Other prepaid express bus services to city on Beckett road and Gympie road (with Park and Ride at Graham road) are available as well. Train services can be assessed through Carseldine, Zilmere and Geebung train stations.
Various choices for shopping, medical services, public schools, child care centres, food, pubs and entertainments. Prince Charles Hospital is fifteen minutes away. Reasonable access to airport, Sunshine Coast and Gateway motorway. Police and Fire srvices are not far too. Choices of reliable telephone and internet services are available.
