Cherrybrook? Please. Long commutes, zero vibe, and nothing but cookie-cutter houses with no character. It’s the suburb you end up in when you’ve given up, not when you’re moving up. I ended up buying elsewhere. The only people leaving negative reviews are the ones bitter that can’t afford elsewhere. Losers gonna lose.

nice cafe, lots of green open spaces and good publidc schools. Also very safe. The Metro has been a once inaccesible suburb now very accessible

High Voltage Transmisson Lines everywhere can potentailly be very harmful for health, looks ugly. Stay away from suburb

Lived there for for 5 years and always wanted to go back or want own a property in Cherrybrook one day.

If I could think of some bad things to say about Cherrybrook, it has to be the transport and traffic. The new line road is unbelievably busy all the time and not many public transports. If these 2 things can be resolved, I don’t mind spend my retirement life in Cherrybrook.

I spent my whole teen years in Cherrybrook and I would not have had it any other way.

Going to school here, you feel a great sense of community. I always run into someone I know when going into the Shopping Village. Kids can openly play on the road, it is great for families with young children. As a young adult like myself there is not much to do here anymore, but Castle Hill is not far and now the new Metro makes going to the city a whole lot more convenient. Although public transport still isn't as great as other suburbs the Metro has been a major step-up. If I were to take a bus to the station, I'd either be too late or too early because the buses are so infrequent (peak hours are good though).

Depending on where you live the internet connection is horrible, I know people who rely on data and they are just a five minute walk from my place. Also you would have to expect your power/internet to go out every once in a while, its not too common but not surprising when it happens.

There are so many great attractions in Cherrybrook. First off, the bushwalk trail is such a luxury, it is beautiful and I feel so fortunate that there is one within walking distance. Cherrybrook is a very leafy suburb and you feel isolated when living here; aside from the diversity, I think this is the best part about Cherrybrook. Greenway Park is fantastic, it really adds to the community vibe here. If you go on walks often enough you run into familiar faces. It has a nice walking/bicycle trail, big fields, basketball courts, a skate park and tennis court, and much more. The Shopping Village has some great local restaurants, and produce stores - Martelli's is has some of the best ricotta cheeses!

However, Cherrybrook is becoming oriented for the upper-class. When my family and I first moved here it was a quaint suburb with not much going on, and the house prices were very reasonable. But with the growing success of the schools, the house prices have soared. The majority of houses in Cherrybrook are old and needs renovations, so you are really spending for the location. I can't honestly say the price is worth it if you have to break the bank to live here. I know a lot of families move to Cherrybrook just for the education and make a lot of financial sacrifices, and while the schools are great, the prices are too high for what you are getting (side note: Cherrybrook Tech is a great school for education, but the environment gets toxic during the HSC because the school places a lot of pressure on students to do well - I assume to keep up with the reputation). Personally, I don't think the prices are worth it. There are more affordable alternatives. Moreover, the Shopping Village has gotten more expensive, especially with the local restaurants.

Also there are a lot of robberies here, my neighbors got robbed, the house across the street got robbed, my friend down the road got robbed, and recently one of the local shops got robbed at knifepoint. It feels very safe to walk on the footpaths here but you have to lock your doors.

Even though I say a lot of cons, I honestly loved living here and if I had a choice, I would continue to do so. Unfortunately, my family and I are being priced out, ha! Many of my friends who also love Cherrybrook are now moving out too because it is just too expensive. But if you can afford it, then definitely go for it!

I’ve lived in the Hills District my whole life and I wouldn’t recommend this area. The area has a stigma from most of the Hills residents who look down upon the area. I recall it was the pit of jokes while growing up and even my parents dodged a bullet buying in this area back 20 years ago. The metro was placed in the middle of nowhere, without being near any schools or shops, and is inconvenient for most commuters. You basically need a car to get there which almost defeats the purpose of the metro. You have to travel to get to most major locations, such as Castle Towers, Hornsby Westfield, etc. The suburb is basically in the middle of nowhere and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Leafy and quiet in the back streets with great facilities available including a fantastic shopping centre, schools, recreational facilities but around Cherrybrook Village Shopping Centre and along New Line Rd/ Boundary Road at peak hour the traffic can be quite problematic. It is a lovely place for families and people who don't need to access the city on a regular basis. Bus services are very infrequent out of peak times but very convenient during peak hours but with the Cherrybrook train station to come the accessibility to the Sydney CBD and Chatswood will be vastly improved.
A very popular area, high in demand for professionals and their families, you can feel very close to nature but then be very close to areas like Castle Hill, with its top shopping centre Castle Towers. For the kids there is a swimming pool, several full size playing fields, skate park, tennis and basketball courts, cricket nets, hundreds of bike trails and Cherrybrook Technology High/Cherrybrook Public/ John Purchase Schools with a Kindalin childcare at Cherrybrook Village.
Its great to be in walking distance of Cherrybrook Village!

So many people we meet ask "Cherrybrook, where is that". This to me is one of the beauties of the suburb. As a father of three, the suburb gives me everything I could ask for - school options, parks, accessibility, great people around us, a great church community, improved shopping facilities, ever improving transport for commuters. The bush land areas surrounding us are great also, with a heap of sporting facilities here or very close by. I love the rave about the suburb, but at the same time kind of want to keep it to just us locals ... !??!

Moving from the South West to the leafy streets of Cherrybrook was one of the best moves I have every made. Most people are Retired or family's which makes a great mix, in regard to the train line which may turn up one day this may be a great thing for the people in Cherrybrook.

Next to everything castle towers and alot of stuff I reckon. Has great schools Cherrybrook P.S with it's peforming arts and Cherrybrook Tech with it's population.Transport starting to be great at the moment with buses avalible and a anouncement that there is going to be at train station in 2017.Alot of field and grass I saw Cherrybrook P.S oval it was so large.Not reccemended for parties more peace and quiet over there.Alot of stuff in the suburb to having great shopping village and a big greenway park and two big swimming pools over there with great houses but very bad in traffic when it's peak hour.
