Reviews of Colebrook, TAS
"A good place for the family"
I lived in Colebrook for 20 years (growing up) A quiet town which has a takeaway shop and a pub, that's pretty much it. The people in it are very friendly although the children quite often become bored with nothing to do. A family could feel safe here but if you want to have any fun you will certainly need to hop in your car and travel elsewhere.

"Peace, quite, beauty"
This one shop town is approx 20 min from Oatlands, 20 min from Richmond, 45 min from Hobart.
The locals are wonderful people, who look out for each other.
It is a postcard perfect town, where you can look to the sky at night and see millions of stars looking back.
The local shop has post office boxes, fuel, and has pizza Thu & Fri nights. They sell basic grocery items, frozen items and take away food. Trish's freshly made steak sandwiches are fantastic :)
There is a local Tavern that serves counter meals. I have not been there, but I have heard that they do a great meal.
There are dog boarding kennels locally. Many sheep, cattle & goat farmers, and several horse trainers... and even the odd peacock! Plus you cant forget the trout fishing in Craigbourne Dam!
A beautiful place... perfect!
