Craigie, WA 6025

While everyone would like to have ocean views and walk to the beach there's is only so many houses available and the prices our now reflected that more then ever.
Craigie gives you are fantastic opportunity to live 5 minutes away from the beach with close proximity to major shops, good schools and easy access to the highway.
With the lower price tag then its fancier neighbor suburbs its the next best thing.

Craigie is quite an exciting suburb, west of Eddystone Ave a lot of the old, unattractive houses with unkept gardens continue to be replaced with modern homes. An influx of young families, professionals and fifo workers are moving in. Has fantastic new public primary school (Craigie Heights) and a private Catholic primary school. More and nicer parks than Padbury, and still affordable for its great location close to beach, Whitfords, Joondalup CBD and only 20km from Perth CBD.

I grew up in Craigie when it was a new suburb (late 70's to late 80's). Although I have fond childhood memories from way back to before the medical centre near the shops was a roller skating rink (it used to be a BMX track). Craigie Senior High School was new (doesn't exist anymore) and the place was full of English immigrants. You can't really say it's attractive and I believe it's popularity is merely to do with it's proximity to the coast. The houses are typically unattractive seventies and eighties project homes of which lots don't seem to care about their gardens (front ones at least). Not a huge fan and could rattle off dozens of more attractive areas for the same price.

As far as land is concerned you can certainly set yourself up for life in Craigie. Huge block size for less than 500k could eventually become dual use at retirement and a “thank god” I bought here.

Close to the beach, new Whitfords restaurant scene, ginormous leisure centre, phenomenal schools both public and private, hillarys mariner and sought after beach side suburbs (Sorrento, hillarys, Kallaroo, ocean reef).

5 minutes to freeway access and train station makes commuting a breeze.

The local shopping center is well equipped with IGA, Pharmacy, Barber, Bakery, boutique cafe, news agency and much more!!

The thing I love most about Craigie is the community spirit is alive and well. Everybody takes care of each other, lends a hand and good friendships are formed. We don’t just know our immediate neighbors, we know our street and the people living on it.

Like me, the residents here all love Craigie and this is shown by the voluntary proactive approach taken to continuously keep our suburb amazing!

Resident for 7 years

We moved to Craigie a few years ago and found it very good value. We live 500m from Whitfords shops, close to the Craigie Leisure Center and 1.3 km from the beautiful Whitfords beach. Aside from beautiful parks there is free tennis courts, Craigie Leisure Center with two swimming pools, gyms, basketball and indoor soccer, good security and the beautiful Craigie bushlands to the south. Transport is awesome with Whitfords station down the road and a good network of bus stations. The new medical center is also very good.

We have lived in Craigie for 9 years and I have to say it’s such a lovely little suburb and we feel very fortunate to have bought a house in what I think is an amazing community,
We live on a fab street with great neighbours,
Our children go to the local Primary School, which I can’t recommend this more highly than I already do, all the teachers are beautiful and have loved our children like their own,
It’s so far been nice and quiet, no major trouble in the area, (apart from a few breakins recently (Oct 18) but the Police were hot on those and incarcerated the planks trying to upset our little suburb, Thank you WAPOL ❤️)
This is the suburb who will be the first to help if you ask for it, be it your child is missing (only to be found in your own garden under a bbq cover), or posting Police on Facebook (by mistake but within minutes neighbours were checking on this person, or lost pets reunited with hours, you can count on the gorgeous people of Craigie,
We personally are Loving Life In Craigie and are thankful for the beautiful hearted people who live here with us.

We have lived here for over 3 years now and absolutely love it so far! The local IGA, bakery, hairdresser and Roma are all so friendly. We are a young family, and it has a great family vibe, the local daycare is absolutely amazing and our son loves it. We plan to stay here and raise our children in Craigie.

I have been living in Craigie for 5 years and never had a problem. The community is great, everyone is helpful and friendly. The primary school is amazing! Everything is close by... beach, joondalup, train station and only 20 mins to the city!

We lived here for 2 years and it was the worst 2 years of our life. There are dogs barking ALL THE TIME!!! We dealt with the council for 2 YEARS over our neighbours dogs and nothing ever got done about it.

People in the area are disrespectful and noisy.
And the smell from the water waste can be hard to live with.

Pay the bit extra and move on the other side of marmion, it is worth it. Dont live here
