Reviews of Kingsthorpe, QLD
"Quiet and peaceful"
My wife and I have just moved from Kingsthorpe after several years (purchased in Toowoomba). After moving from Anduramba we were expecting a return to noisy suburbia but couldn't be further from the truth. Most properties are on half acre blocks with some at the top end of Petersens Road or Linton Hill on 1-1.5 acres. This helps with noise. During our tenancy, Kingsthorpe grew significantly as a satellite suburb and "bedroom community" of Toowoomba. My wife works in Glenvale and I work in Toowoomba City - the dramatic reduction in commute time alone was a big incentive for us to move.
Kingsthorpe now has a small shopping centre, featuring an IGA, bottle shop, pharmacy, doctor and dentist. Fibre to the Node NBN in most parts of town. 10 minutes to Oakey and 20-25 to Toowoomba. Never personally had an issue with crime but others were having issues with petty theft in later years. Reason for moving? Landlords sold our property and we were in the position to buy elsewhere.

"A quiet rural village."
We love living here. It's so quiet and safe, the local shop owners are friendly and so are the residents. You wouldn't know you were living so close to Toowoomba City. Kingsthorpe is a gorgeous little hamlet that is growing in leaps and bounds.

"Nice and quiet for us older folks not yet retired"
After living in one of the noisiest suburbs you can imagine we find Kingsthorpe a restful, quiet place to live.
We have just bought here and are very happy. We have the best of both worlds, it's quiet and semi rural with nice homes in the area and fairly close to Toowoomba and Oakey.
Only real negative is there is no Supermarket in Kinsthorpe.
