Reviews of Ocean View, QLD
"Wonderful country retreat."
Only 1 hour from Brisbane, 45 Mins to Airport, and close to the growing and popular North Lakes area. All those amenities close by and yet Ocean View is a wonderful mountain retreat. Lots of space, peace and quiet. Popular with horse owners and wine lovers. The Ocean View Estate has a great cellar door, and their restaurant is to die for. The chef (Tony) is Michelin-class, producing a menu normally associated with top-end of town fine dining establishments.
We have lived here for 3 years and I still am amazed with the Glass House Mountain views, Ocean Views (hence the name), and wonderful Samford Valley views right from our doorstep (figuratively speaking). Although those houses do command multi-million dollar price tags.
To finish off, the wildlife here is wonderful. We have a family of Wallabies living in our property, and the occasional Koala often visits the top of our gum trees.

"Beautiful mountain suburb with views forever"
From the moment you drive up the mountain to oceanview you know it is something special. There is no traffic just rolling hills with cows and horses. It is a good 2-3 degree's cooler with lovely breezes to cool the hottest of days. Sit back and watch the native animals while the wind blows through the tree's. 5km's to dayboro village with doctor, chemist, shops including a IGA, resturants. hairdresser, cafe's and take away. Show grounds hold various events and the annual rodeo and show. Football, soccer, little athletics, a public swimming pool and gym, bike park are located easily at hand in Dayboro. Oceanview has wineries and B&B's. Acerage living for peace and quiet....How's the serenity? Damm good.
