Reviews of Ormiston, QLD
"Quiet Leafy Safe Suburb that is close to what you need"
Within 5 minutes, you can be by the water, at the shops, having a beer at the pub or simply visiting one of the many beautiful parklands in this suburb. Ormiston is far enough away from the busy city with all the traffic issues, but still close enough to commute on the days you need to, taking advantage of the train when required. There is plenty here for families, grand parents, those who like nature, or those who like the bay. There are at least 3 cafes to choose from on the weekends, and plenty of restaurants walking distance from most peoples houses. And, Ormiston has its own Heritage and Building Styles, the epitome of course being Ormiston House. The suburb is flat, which is perfect to adventure walking with the dog or cycling. And its safe, speaking with the Police, it is the safest suburb in the Redlands, which is great to grow a family in and know your kids can play with their friends and be home in time for dinner - just like the old days

Most people are attracted to live in Ormiston because it ticks most boxes on their wishlist.
You have good access to cafes and take away shops.
Train takes you into the city and the leafy neighbourhood offers you peace and tranquility to unwind from a busy week.

"Beautiful suburb"
We looked at our house to buy in January when all the Poinciana trees are in flower that line Wellington Street. I think this was the reason that won me over.
Ormiston is close to everything. The shops in Cleveland are not that far and it's nice that they are aren't actually in the suburb. Kayaking spots to set out with short distance. Quiet and safe. We are glad that we moved here.
Yes the CBD is not close, but Ormiston station takes you right there. There is also a bus that goes to the city too, but takes longer than the train.

"The gem of the Redlands!"
Driving down Wellington St is like driving down an avenue of beautiful trees.
There are still koalas in the area, and the bird life is fantastic.
It is a sought after place to live, and is affectionately called "The Shire" due to it's relaxed country feel.
The heritage listed Ormiston House is at the end of Wellington Street, very popular with vintage and classic car clubs.
A unique area!

"So quiet, you can hear a pin drop"
This is a bit of old charm with established homes and many new and modern ones, amongst beautiful flora and fauna, chosen for the safety and peaceful minded neighbors, who are very considerate of others. The atmosphere is of well educated and cultural professionals (and some retirees), who enjoy the outdoors with their children. It is a happy environment and walking to the shops, schools (private and state), and train station is a must to make the best of it.
