"4 Generations Born and Bred in Proserpine"
Born in Proserpine I have a great love for this little country town. I have worked for 41 years in this fabulous little town. Working for Ray White for 8 years my local knowledge of the town is extensive.
With many things changing in those years I have seen a great improvement in property prices and certainly, we now have some great improvements in our main st, with the Entertainment center near completion and also our new Council chambers. Also the opening of the Peter Faust Dam camping grounds as well.
Proserpine Airport has been renovated which is great to see the number of tourists landing and enjoying our wonderful Great Barrier Reef and surrounding Islands. I am happy to say I live here and enjoy all of the benefits that this brings to my life. My two children living close by and now a beautiful grandson my life is complete.
If you ever want to chat about Proserpine or the area I am here to help you out . 0438755725

"Only town worth buying in"
Proserpine has the basics and more, from health and education to a beautiful waterpark and massive dam nearby plus a short drive to the airport with links to the 3 major capitals, the town is very friendly and you get a really authentic positive vibe from it. People that have bought into places like Cannonvale have really missed the mark and a fantastic opportunity. You quite often see them whinging online about not having a hospital nearby or having poor tv reception yet these aren't issues in Proserpine. The town has the schools with the best academic performance and range of subjects on offer, why not give your child the chance to walk to school in a friendly and safe community like the good old days? Proserpine is truly the place to be in the Whitsundays.

"Golf!! We love it."
My husband and I love the Proserpine golf course. It is a full size course with a great clubhouse and welcoming members. The town has a long golfing history and this was one of the deciding factors when we relocated from Sydney to Proserpine. We have been less stressed, more energetic since moving to the town and we could not be more thankful for the decision we made. If your considering relocating to the Whitsunday Region - Choose Proserpine! It literally has everything. Plus it also has a massive pool with water-park, huge tennis club with six courts, sporting ovals, cricket club, BMX club and just out of town is a motorbike race track and car racing track. Proserpine is a true sporting town.

"A friendly town where people always lookout for you"
I have lived in Townsville, Brisbane, Airlie Beach and now Proserpine. I am really taken by the town and plan on putting down roots! It is the gem of the region. I recently injured myself playing sport and my neighbours were always checking on me if I needed any help at all, a refreshing experience. People are cheery and the vibe exudes optimism.

"Have lived here for a year and wished I moved here sooner"
I moved here 1 year ago, I had read the reviews on Homely and had done some independent research, Proserpine really ticked all the boxes for the community I was looking for and boy it didn’t dissapoint. I had so many hellos on my first few outings after completing unpacking and it was such a refreshing change. My partner and I love going to the pubs for the meals, drinks and social scene and he found work very quickly as did I, so I’m glad things have worked out well!! The community is so friendly and the town has a variety of beautiful green parks to relax in and it really is the centre for education with the private school always seeming to be in a state of expansion. I think anyone considering the move to Proserpine should just do it. It’s been a positive change for myself and based on the reviews on this site, for others as well.

"Wouldn't live anywhere else in the Whitsundays."
I recently moved to Proserpine from Cranbourne, Victoria and I am loving Proserpine. I did extensive research before making the move and Proserpine ticked all the boxes. It is so close to all the area has to offer and is the genuine gateway to the region, it is the town you arrive at by air, rail and road and this was a major deciding factor for me. I now have friends and family looking to build in Proserpine and I am glad their is new residential land on the market that is affordable and has great views.

Just curious, do you have school age children? Or was this not a factor in your move.
Cheers louise
Hi Louise, yes I do have school age children, and the fact Proserpine has the regions two high schools (public, catholic) weighed heavily in my decision, Id only heard positive feedback about both and we decided to enrol in St Catherines, Proserpine and couldnt be happier with my choice. Hope this helps!
Best wishes,
Laura
We are looking to relocate from South Africa. Our children are 7 and 11. What schools do you have available for them?
"Have friends that live there now and they love it."
My friends and I recently moved to the area from Sydney, I went to Airlie Beach and them to Proserpine and oh how I wish I too had gone to Proserpine. They find the town extremely welcoming, easy to navigate and love its convenience. It has the best schools in the area, They still visit their home on the North Shore of Sydney regularly and love the short commute to the airport (in Proserpine, not Sydney).
I too have now moved to Proserpine from Airlie Beach and am glad I did, anyone else looking to move to the Whitsundays will be glad they chose Proserpine as well.

"A great place to live :)"
I love living in Proserpine, the way people greet you everyday with a smile, the people on the street who love to chat, the Proserpine Hospital is one of the best regional Hospitals I have been to in Queensland - it is modern, the staff are wonderful, the care is top notch and the surroundings heaven, the town has a variety of educational institutions from prep all the way to Year 12 either at Proserpine State High with Alumni such as Andrew Fraser (former state Treasuer) & Travis Waddell (professional Rugby League Footballer) to name two.. or Saint Catherine's Catholic school with a state-of-the-art secondary campus opening in 2015. Proserpine is just an all round great authentic town with a bright future.. so why not be a part of it yourself??

"Proserpine - Ideal place in the tropics to buy"
The main industries in Proserpine are sugar cane and cattle, yet Proserpine attracts many tourists each year. Situated on 26 kms from the Whitsundays coast with the beautiful beaches Proserpine is the administration centre for the area. This town has everything to offer both the tourist and resident with good shopping facilities, great schools and hospital and loads of sports venues and playing fields for most sports. There is no end to the accommodation choices on offer as well as restaurant, cafes pubs etc. Take a guided tour of the area or a scenic flight, enjoy the water sports at Airlie Beach or visit Cedar Creek Falls. House prices vary but there are still some very good buys available.
