Reviews of Rochedale, QLD
"It has a mix of pros and cons."
IMO, this suburb is well overpriced as there isn’t much diversity; the area seems predominantly Asian. You can see this by looking around the streets, local parks, or schools. Most Caucasians aren’t even familiar with this suburb. Also Burglaries and theft are quite common here however I agree that it's location is great.

"Up and coming suburb"
Great up and coming suburb-
1. location- easy to get on the M1 (which means a 20 min drive north to the airport or a 40min drive to Movieworld on the Gold Coast), or the M3 (20 min drive to the CBD). It is also close to Sunnybank (12mins drive) for Asian groceries and restaurants as well as Westfield Garden City (10 mins drive)
2. Gentrified- new developments abound with new developments occurring around the Gardner Rd area
3. New brisbane metro hub to be completed by 2023 in Rochedale
4. Development opportunities- Woolworths is building a new fulfilment centre in Rochedale
5. Great schools- part of Mansfield State catchment area, Redeemer Lutheran College around the area
6. Lots of reserved green tracts

"Close to all amneties and motorways (Airport, City, Logon/Ipswitch and Oxley)"
Great suburb to leave in. Some part fall under Mansfield State School catchment. Rochedale primary is good. My kids studied at Redeemer Lutheran College (co-ed). Buses to city, UQ, Griffith, QUT via busway (City CBD thus in 15-20mins). Brisbane City Council only suburb to South East that has land for expansion and close to public transport/malls. Easy access to Carindale & Garden City shopping malls (wow! Choice of two malls). Nice walking and cycling tracks. Besides Coles, IGA, McDonald, Gym & Fitness, doctors, dentists, pharmacies, X-Rays, Pet Vet/play ground, more Cafes and resturants are opening as expansion of the suburb takes place. Lovely new suburb so close to CBD and not too far away to Gold Coast/Brisbane Bay side. People comment about house break ins but then which suburb that has new housing does not have the same issue.

"A very desirable suburb to live in"
Rochedale is a very shiny suburb, neat and clean, a very pleasant place to live. Mostly home owners are professional.
Schools are great. Very close to CBD and major highways at doorsteps. Very safe to live in as most houses have security systems in place. It seems expensive but most houses are two storey. If this exact location is in Sydney or Melbourne you will need multi millions to buy.
Brisbane is growing rapidly with lot of infrastructure upgrades happening around Rochedale.

Break in happens in all suburbs. Rochedale is part of Brisbane Council as compared to Rochedale South that is part of Logon Council. Rochedale has better access to amneties as compared to Rochedale Soutl plus better schools. If Rochedale South gets gentrified and millionaires get in there then wait and watch for break ins to happen as well.
"Outstanding Suburb"
Expensive but worth the price. Very nice neighbourhood and close to the city and bus station.

"Best location near Brisbane city with two motorways with new village what else you need?"
I have been wanting to live in a new house in new village after living in old house for a while - sick and tired of little and big issues from a house. also always want to live somewhere you can freely and safely take a walk after dinner. There are lots of homes meeting this criteria but all of them are far away from City. Rochedale is the only one we could find which meet all of those requirements and plus perfect location for going anywhere in any direction. Very close to M1, M2 and M3. Less than 20kms from City and Airport which take less than 20min! Very quite and secure at night time with nice neighbors and community. Coles is developing their mall at the moment with a park. What else you need?

Typical comments from real estate agent
@Sam Dude I am not an agent but just genuine resident. Also don't just say things you cant even prove...
"Overpriced, tiny blocks"
Rochedale used to be great when it was more affordable and filled with big, spacious blocks. Now every house looks the same and they are ridiculously overpriced for the tiny parcels of land that they are on. It's close to the CBD (20 min) and has some high reputation schools.

Totally disagree with the comments of every house looks the same. Majority of houses are independently build. A small pocket by AVJenning etc but they too are not building same pattern of houses. With respect to tiny blocks - it is a mixer of samll and big lots giving way to all people to buy and move to this suburb. Council and developers pushing the limits of the lot size - commonly seen in all new suburbs especially close to all amneties/transport corridor.
"Prestigious neighbourhood"
Great for
- 12km from the city
- 5min to pacific motorway and 3min to gateway motorway
- Security and cameras in the estate
- Close to all the major highways in Brisbane
- It's very peaceful and quiet...and you are surrounded by huge mansions and nature so close to the city

"A great place so close to the CBD...probably the only suburb under Brisbane City Council limits where you can buy land."
Has to be one of the best potential suburbs in OZ. There is quite a lot of development land for sale at Rochedale Estates and Arise at Rochedale. It looks like the price of land is being pushed up by the demand. We looked at buying 420sqm there about 8 months ago and the price was about $320k. Now they are asking $360k for a 400sqm block. It's about 2mins drive to the M1, Gateway and the Ipswich motorway exits....you will be pleasantly surprised how close it is!!!!
Great for
- Close to all the major highways in Brisbane
- Just 17km to the CBD...about 20mins at peak hour traffic
- It's very peaceful and quiet...and you are surrounded by huge mansions and nature so close to the city
Not great for
- Can't think of any

Now I am trying to buy a land of 450 sqm. they are asking 550 K Arise at Rochedale. Is it so exepensive?
"Live like royalty in Rochedale"
Rochedale is by far one of the best places to secure land if you are looking for acreage. For the simple fact that if you drive past there you will see some giant mansions and estates on 1, 2 or 20+ acres of land. There are quite a few houses in Rochedale that are like small private resorts only minutes to the highway unis and the cbd. Check out some mega mansions in Rochedale!
