Seabrook, VIC 3028

Great place to be with everything close at bargain property prices. Great neighbourhood with lots of parks, quick access to freely and within walking distance to both Aircraft and Williams Landing train stations and a 28 minute train ride to city.

Just recently moved here and the experience has been great. All the buttons have clicked for me:
- Green, clean, and safe
- Close to shopping centres
- Walking distance to one of the best primary schools
- Enjoy the facilities from Point Cook because we are very close
- Friendly and nice neighbour
- Most homes are owner occupied and rarely move so you can build good relationship that last for years
- Traffick is not as bad as we are closer to the freeway and stations than Point Cook.

We moved to Seabrook after spending almost a year looking around in 2018
Its is located relatively close to Melbourne CBD (around 20 kms) and train takes about 26 mins (peak time office hours)
Our experience living here has been really positive , Seabrook has a beautiful skeleton creek for your walks, dog & bike rides
There is also Seabrook Cricket club, foot ground as well (Bruce Comben Reserve), additionally there are public Tennis courts as well !
For golf lovers there are 3 golf courses around Seabrook, one in Aircraft , one is Kooringal Golf Club and lastly Sanctuary Lakes , heaven for golfers !
Seabrook Primary is really a great school with a rating over 98 (last time we checked)
Beach is not far, Altona beach is around 5 kms (under 10 mins) , Williamstown is a bit around 20 mins (is an option for the weekends !)
There is a good presence of working class families in this area, which is really positive overall, have always come across really friendly people, especially the older residents in Seabrook , always up for a chat !
Train Station is really convenient as well, Aircraft or Laverton, both are walkable (Aircraft is around 1 km, and Laverton 1.5km) , you can also cycle , there is a cycle storage at Laverton station , Even parking spaces at Laverton are ample , I have found parking at 8:30 , 8:40 am as well !
Shopping it has a no of shopping areas closeby , i.e. Point Cook, Altona Meadows or Williams Landing
Best part is you are normally not as bad stuck in traffic as most Point cook residents are as Seabrook is basically the first exit (first roundabout) , my wife drives to work (Essendon) and it takes her less than 30 mins the morning and around 40 mins on her way back
Overall we are happy and would recommend this suburb to first home buyers, younger families and working class professionals
Additionally its part of Hobsons bay council, what that means is that you pay cheaper rates each year as compared to our friends n Wyndham
Also Hobson bay council is really great council, the facilities it provides are really good !
Fo Swimming I would recommended Bayfit leisure centre or Laverton Swim centre (both are council run and open to public)

Living in Seabrook for close to a year. Was a bit worried for the change from South east to the west. It has been a great change, it's a fantastic location, shops around, safe, really green, lots of walking tracks. Not far from CBD, I consider to be one of the west suburbs that will become a prime location.

We have lived in Seabrook for about 4 months now and love it! There is easy access to Altona Meadows, Sanctuary Lakes and Point Cook Shopping Centres and also has a small area of shops on Point Cook Rd with various takeaway options. Bordered by Skeleton Creek there are lots of recreational park areas with walking/bike trails. Within Seabrook PS zone it's a great location for families. The real benefit for Seabrook is you are close to the Princes Fwy so you avoid the traffic on Point Cook Rd. From Seabrook it's only about 20-25mins to the city but also close to Aircraft train station for public transport access.

I have been familiar with Seabrook for almost a year and living here for the past few months. My family and I chose this neighborhood primarily because it had three great benefits:
1) A fantastic public primary school and as a bonus, offers International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme
2) Great environment for young kids; safe, friendly and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors (parks, bike trails, tennis courts, etc)
3) Good location if you work in the west or the CBD - 3 major shopping centres within 5 minutes and you don't get stuck in the Point Cook traffic in the morning to reach the freeway, especially if you live on the school side of Point Cook Road.
No, this is not the suburb for you if you want cafes at your doorstep or you would like to live close to great night life. Also, you are limited to a handful of options if you frequently like to request dinner delivered to your home.
For those catching the train to the city, parking can be a bit of a problem but it is likely that with the new bus routes and more frequent trains from next year, this situation will improve. Already, with the new VLine route via Tarneit, there is less crowding in the Metro line, so we are optimistic. On an average day by car, you can expect to leave home around 8:30am, drop the kid(s) at school and reach the CBD by around 9:15. On school holidays and weekends, the drive between CBD and Seabrook takes around 25 minutes.
One thing I am not satisfied about is the lack of broadband Internet choice. In my area, it was either Telstra or Foxtel. Will need to wait longer for the NBN to roll out and hopefully make things better.
In short, It's the "just right" suburb for families who are looking for a quiet place to raise young kids and work in the west or in the CBD.
